Why is it when a white gay guy who was closeted and used women as props gets applauded for being “brave”? When there are tons of guys who live their truth in hostile environments from the beginning. How is the former being brave? When the latter showed more guts?

i don't like how when we spoke about being sorry for the hurt he caused his girlfriend/fiance he had a grin an a smile that he was trying to contain. i found that to be particularly cruel.

Now, if the "Black" Bachelor suddenly comes out of the closet, the Down Low narrative accompanied by countless statistics on xesually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and homophobia in the Black community will dominate the story. The entire Black community would have to endure the heat, whether they supported him coming out or not.

Underwood is indeed a punk, and he is allowed to be in this racially-biased society.

I saw on on ET that he and his dad are filming a docu-series about his "coming out party" on Netflix already. ALREADY! It showed cameras following them around, which means he was already planning all this before his interview. Now there is a push to make him the first gay bachelor.
Why is he being applauded and rewarded for using and stalking women?
Being gay does not give you the right to use women for your own selfish gain. You might be using them in a different way than straight men use women, but it's STILL using them, and it's not okay.

Because gay or straight, a white man’s comfort will always matter more to the powers that be than the discomfort of the women he used and abused along the way.
