Hello all, Cricuts are on sale. (there might be a new line dropping soon). But in the mean time they're on sale so if you've wanted one this is a good time to buy there's an extra 5% cashback if you use Ratuken and order from Michaels . I pay high ass sales tax so I'll take what I can get.
****Walmart also has them on sell and the cashback is 6%

And anyone looking for side-hustles this is a good video.

0:52 Custom lash boxes (with stickers or vinyl)
4:49 Acrylic signs for events especially weddings
10:05 Wall Decals
16:50 Custom packaging for businesses.
18:09 Examples

The time stamps aren't exact but take what you can get. Some stores are allowing 3 per order so if you miss out I'm sure someone will be reselling on ebay in a week or two.

There are like 5 on there. Which is the best one?
Depending on what you are planning to do with the machine.

Maker and Explorer Air 2 are basically "siblings". The Maker has a higher price point and a bit more versatile than the EA2.

The Joy is the mini and limited version of the EA2 and Maker. Good for card and sticker makers. And for the causal, small vinyl cutting sessions.

Heat/Easy Press is good for heat transfer vinyl (HTV) and sublimation transferring for under $200.

I bought a Cricut Maker last year when they went on sale at Joanns and thought I would figure out what to do with it. I haven't taken it out of the box. I'll watch the video later to get some inspiration.

How much did you get yours for if you don't mind me asking? I am a label fiend and sticker fiend so now I can make my own. Also I have a sewing machine but cutting isn't my strong suit (I don't know how I passed kinder) so I bought it for that also I might make one of those personalized acrylics for my friends new house. Also I have some teachers in the family so I'm sure I'll be making things for them.

hmm... interesting

I really need to take my machine out of the box. I just placed an order for custom poly mailers and didn't even think to make them myself.

I was hell bent on getting a maker but had second thoughts since you are so dependent on the circuit online system.
How are you finding the ease of use OP?

What's the sale price?
$299 when it's usually $349-399(depends on the color and where you look). If you use Ratuken and order from Michaels there's an added 5% off the $299 of course it comes later in a cashback.

I just ordered mine Today. So, I haven't used cricut much besides at different makers spaces before COVID.
But I think that is one of the benefits of Cricut is that it lets you upload your own files. And I think with the recent up roar they caused Cricut might be relaxing some stuff soon.
Also the Silohuette cameo 4 is the same price for their smallest machine maybe watch some comparison videos on youtube and decide.

I bought a cricut then returned it because a lady told me my silhouette was better. I was about to buy a cricut again but the whole issue with their design space happened. I know they backtracked on that so idk, I might stop playing and get it for real this time. I just have so many things I still need to do foe my sewing hobby

I paid $299 for it. It was the best price I'd seen for it. It was around this time last year when I got it. Maybe this will an annual spring time thing for them.

Girl how come you didn't share with the class? I would have loved this in 2020 when I was in the house alone with nothing but sh!t I didn't want to do.

I bit the bullet and ordered the Maker in lilac. It's supposed to be here on 4/20. Yay! I have been wanting one for so long, but I kept talking myself out of it because I don't think I'm that creative. Lol. Can't wait til it gets here!

I talked myself out of it when it would have extremely useful while helping my sister plan her wedding that when I saw the price I couldn’t pass it up. But when I got it I was so crafted out that I never touched it.

Did you sell it? I wanted to buy second hand because I was worried I wouldn't use it enough that it'd end up being a waste of money and this is an expensive hobby so buying it from someone who would also send their tools + supplies seemed like a good deal. I bought new, but I have teachers in the family and people getting married so I might let them know I have it so it's available for use if they buy their own supplies. Because it seems to last a long time if you take care of it. I know some people still use the original machines.

I still have it unopened. I just found out 2 of my sister's bridesmaids are getting married. I'm about to put this thing to use.

I have the Maker and I've done a lot with it. I chose the maker because of the ability to cut wood. Yet, I haven't cut wood a single time yet. You have to use the thinnest pieces of wood and I didn't realize that at first.

Tried the engraving tool on stainless cake knife and it's just ok. You have to do several passes.

I love making stencils to do glass etching on things like glass baking pans and glasses..

You really can make money if you put your mind to it.

Explore Air 2 the the better option, price wise. BTW Cricut is releasing the Explore Air 3 soon, hoping the new models will make the price drop for the EA2

They're back on sale about $20 cheaper depending on your state sales tax.

Reupping because Makers are on sale for $249 right now at both Joanns and Michaels.

Also have a question for people who have a Maker. I finally started using it and when I use the fabric mat the roller on the right completely comes out of its spot. Has anyone had this happen?

I haven't had that happen but are you moving the white roller things all the way to the right to make room for the fabric to come through?

That might be it. Thanks. I've only tried to cut very thin chiffon. I'll try again and see what happens.

Costco has Cricut Maker bundle on sale on November 25 for $240. I was thinking of getting it earlier before all that software fiasco started. I prefer Costco kits as they tend to have more items in their bundles. If it does not work out, I can easily return.
