"TRUST IN THE LORD with ALL YOUR HEART; Dont rely on your own intelligence. :Know [ask] Him in ALL your paths [decisions], and He will keep your ways straight. Dont consider yourself wise. Fear the LORD and turn away from evil. Then your body will be HEALTHY and your bones STRONG. HONOR the LORD with your WEALTH and with the FIRST (10% Tithe) of ALL your crops. Then your barns (income) will be filled with plenty and your vats will burst with wine (investments). Dont reject the instruction of the LORD, My son; Dont despise His correction. The LORD LOVES those He corrects, just like a Father who treats His son with favor (GOOD THINGS)." (Prov. 3:5-12)
Proverbs 18:9-16 "...Whoever is lazy in YOUR work is related to a vandal.
"The Name of the Lord is a STRONG TOWER. A Righteous person (YOU) runs to it and is SAFE. "A rich persons wealth is his strong city and is like a high wall in his imagination. "Before DESTRUCTION comes, a persons heart is ARROGANT, but before HONOR comes, a person's heart is HUMBLE.
"If YOU give an answer BEFORE YOU listen, this is stupid and shameful. "YOUR STRONG spirit can endure sickness, but who can handle a broken spirit?
"The MIND of a person who has UNDERSTANDING gains KNOWLEDGE. The ears of WISE people seek KNOWLEDGE. "A GIFT opens doors for the YOU who gives it and brings YOU into the presence of great people."
"Never brag about what you will do in the future; you have no idea what tomorrow will bring. "Never praise yourself. Let others do it. "A stone is heavy, and sand is hard to carry,
but the irritation caused by
a fool is much harder to bear. "Anger is cruel and can destroy like a flood, but jealousy is much worse. "Open criticism is better than hidden love. "You can trust what your friend says, even when it hurts. But your enemies want to hurt you,
even when they act nice. "When you are full, you will not even eat honey. When you are hungry,
even something bitter tastes sweet. "A man away from home is like a bird away from its nest. "Perfume and incense make you feel good, and so does good advice from a friend. "Dont forget your own friends or your fathers friends. If you have a problem, go to your neighbor for help. It is better to ask a neighbor who is near than a brother who is far away. "My son, be wise. This will make me happy. Then I will be able to answer those who criticize me. "Wise people see trouble coming and get out of its way, but fools go straight to the trouble
and suffer for it. "When you make a deal with a stranger, get something from him and any other foreigners with him to make sure he will pay you. "Dont wake up your neighbors early in the morning with a shout of Good morning! They will treat it like a curse, not a blessing. "A complaining wife is like water that never stops dripping on a rainy day.
"Stopping her is like trying to stop the wind or trying to hold oil in your hand. "As one piece of iron sharpens another, so friends keep each other sharp. "People who take care of fig trees are allowed to eat the fruit. In the same way, people who take care of their masters will be rewarded. "Just as you can see your own face reflected in water, so your heart reflects the kind of person you are. "Just as the place of death and destruction is never full, people always want more and more. "People use fire to purify gold and silver. In the same way, you are tested by the praise people give you. " Even if you pound fools to powder like grain in a bowl, you will never force the foolishness out of them.
10 A Competent Wife,
how does one find her?
Her value is FAR above Pearls.
11 Her husband entrusts his HEART to her,
and with her, he will have all he needs.
12 She brings him Good and not trouble
all the days of her life.
13 She seeks out wool and flax;
she enjoys working with her hands.
14 She is like a fleet of merchant ships,
bringing food from a distance.
15 She gets up while it is still night,
providing food for her household,
even some for her female servants.
16 She surveys a field and buys it;
from her own resources, she plants a vineyard.
17 She works energetically; her arms are powerful.
18 She realizes that her trading is successful;
she doesnt put out her lamp at night.
19 She puts her hands to the spindle;
her palms grasp the whorl.
20 She reaches out to the needy; she stretches out her hands to the poor.
21 She doesnt fear for her household
when it snows,
because they are all dressed in warm clothes.
22 She makes bedspreads for herself; fine linen and purple are her clothing.
23 Her husband is known in the city gates when he sits with the elders of the land.
24 She makes garments and sells them; she supplies sashes to traders.
25 Strength and honor are her clothing; she is confident about the future.
26 Her mouth is full of WISDOM;
kindly teaching is on her tongue.
27 She is vigilant over the activities of her household;
she doesnt eat the food of laziness.
28 Her children Bless her; her husband Praises her.
29 Many women act competently, but you surpass them all!
30 Charm is deceptive and beauty fleeting, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be Praised.
31 Let her share in the results of her work; let her Good deeds Praise her in the city gates.
"Whoever corrects a mocker receives abuse. Whoever warns a wicked person gets hurt.
Do not warn a mocker, or he will hate you. Warn a wise person, and he will love you.
Give advice to a WISE person and he will become even WISER.
Teach RIGHTEOUS people, and they will learn MORE.
The fear [HONOR] of the Lord is the
beginning of WISDOM.
The KNOWLEDGE of the Holy One is UNDERSTANDING. You will live longer because of Me [WISDOM],
and years will be ADDED to your life.
If you are WISE, your WISDOM will help you.
If you mock, you alone will be held RESPONSIBLE.
Psalm 19: 1 Better a poor man who lives with integrity
than someone who has deceitful lips and is a fool. 2 Even zeal is not good without knowledge,
and the one who acts hastily[a] sins. 3 A mans own foolishness leads him astray,
yet his heart rages against the LORD. 4 Wealth attracts many friends,
but a poor man is separated from his friend. 5 A false witness will not go unpunished,
and one who utters lies will not escape. 6 Many seek a rulers favor,
and everyone is a friend of one who gives gifts. 7 All the brothers of a poor man hate him;
how much more do his friends
keep their distance from him!
He may pursue them with words,
but they are not there.[b]
8 The one who acquires good sense loves himself;
one who safeguards understanding finds success. 9 A false witness will not go unpunished,
and one who utters lies perishes. 10 Luxury is not appropriate for a fool
how much less for a slave to rule over princes! 11 A persons insight gives him patience,
and his virtue is to overlook an offense. 12 A kings rage is like the roaring of a lion,
but his favor is like dew on the grass. 13 A foolish son is his fathers ruin,
and a wifes nagging is an endless dripping. 14 A house and wealth are inherited from fathers,
but a sensible wife is from the LORD. 15 Laziness induces deep sleep,
and a lazy person will go hungry. 16 The one who keeps commands preserves himself;
one who disregards[d] his ways will die. 17 Kindness to the poor is a loan to the LORD,
and He will give a reward to the lender.[e] 18 Discipline your son while there is hope;
dont be intent on killing him.[f] 19 A person with great anger bears the penalty;
if you rescue him, youll have to do it again. 20 Listen to counsel and receive instruction
so that you may be wise later in life. 21 Many plans are in a mans heart,
but the LORDs PLAN will win. 22 What is desirable in a man is his fidelity;
better to be a poor man than a liar. 23 The reverential fear of the LORD leads to life;
one will sleep at night without danger. 24 The slacker buries his hand in the bowl;
he doesnt even bring it back to his mouth."
Proverbs 1 1 The Proverbs of Solomon son of David, King of Israel: 2 for gaining Wisdom and instruction; for understanding words of insight;
3 for receiving instruction in prudent behavior, doing what is right and just and fair;
4 for giving prudence to those who are simple,
knowledge and discretion to the young— 5 let the wise listen and add to their learning,
and let the discerning get guidance—
6 for understanding proverbs and parables,
the sayings and riddles of the wise. 7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge,
but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
8Listen, My Son, to your father’s instruction
and do not forsake your mother’s teaching.
9 They are a garland to grace your head
and a chain to adorn your neck. 10 My Son, if sinful men entice you,
do not give in to them.
11 If they say, “Come along with us;
let’s lie in wait for innocent blood,
let’s ambush some harmless soul;
12 let’s swallow them alive, like the grave,
and whole, like those who go down to the pit;
13 we will get all sorts of valuable things
and fill our houses with plunder;
14 cast lots with us;
we will all share the loot”— 15 My Son, do not go along with them,
do not set foot on their paths;
16 for their feet rush into evil,
they are swift to shed blood.
17 How useless to spread a net
where every bird can see it!
18 These men lie in wait for their own blood;
they ambush only themselves!
19 Such are the paths of all who go after ill-gotten gain;
it takes away the life of those who get it.
20 Out in the open "Wisdom" calls aloud,
She raises Her Voice in the public square;
21 on top of the wall She cries out,
at the city gate She makes Her speech: 22 “How long will you who are simple love your simple ways?
How long will mockers delight in mockery
and fools hate knowledge?
23 Repent at My rebuke! Then I will pour out My thoughts to you,
I will make known to you My teachings.
24 But since you refuse to listen when I call
and no one pays attention when I stretch out My Hand,
25 since you disregard all My advice
and do not accept My rebuke,
26 I in turn will laugh when disaster strikes you;
I will mock when calamity overtakes you— 27 when calamity overtakes you like a storm,
when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind,
when distress and trouble overwhelm you.
28 “Then they will call to Me, but I will not answer;
they will look for Me but will not find Me,
29 since they hated knowledge
and did not choose to fear the LORD.
30 Since they would not accept My advice
and spurned My rebuke,
31 they will eat the fruit of their ways
and be filled with the fruit of their schemes.
32 Because the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them; 33 but whoever listens to Me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm.”
"TRUST IN the LORD with ALL your heart, and do not rely on your OWN understanding; "Think about HIM in all your ways, and HE will GUIDE you on the RIGHT paths. "Dont THINK yourself to be wise; fear the LORD and turn away from evil. This will be HEALING for your body and STRENGTHENING for your bones.
HONOR the LORD with your possessions and with the FIRST produce of your entire harvest;
then your barns will be completely FILLED, and your vats will overflow with new wine.
Do NOT despise the LORDs INSTRUCTION, my son, and do not HATE His discipline;
because the LORD disciplines the one He LOVES, just as a father, the son, HE ENJOYS."
"Like GOLDEN apples in SILVER settings,
so is a WORD spoken at the RIGHT time.
"Like a GOLD ring and a fine GOLD ornament,
so is CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM the ear of ONE who listens.
"Like the coolness of snow on a harvest day,
so is a TRUSTWORTHY MESSENGER to those WHO send him:
He refreshes his MASTERS.
"Like a dense fog or a dust storm,
so is a person who brags about a gift that he does not give. "With PATIENCE, you can persuade a ruler,
and a SOFT tongue can break bones.
"When you find honey, eat only as much as you need.
Otherwise, you will have too much and vomit.
"Do not set foot in your neighbors house too often.
Otherwise, he will see too much of you and hate you.
"Like a club and a sword and a sharp arrow,
so is a person who gives FALSE testimony against his neighbor.
"Like a broken tooth and a lame foot,
so is confidence in an UNFAITHFUL person in a time of crisis.
"Like taking off a coat on a cold day or pouring vinegar on baking soda, so is singing songs to one who has an EVIL heart.
"If your enemy is hungry, GIVE him some food to eat,
and if he is thirsty, give him some WATER to drink.
"In this way you will make him feel guilty and ashamed,
and the Lord will REWARD you."
