Welp. Everything you said is true op. The options are a) Move b) Get happy being single and bouncing from situationship to situationship or c) Become a single mom that shares her man.

Is ATL that bad? I know someone that suggested me living in that crazy city. I told him it’s too gay. I lived in a gay city for almost 10 years and I just can’t see the appeal.

I love when yall get on about adventures in dating in ATL. In my mind I really feel like surely it can't be that bad...

It is but when you score a black man it seems you get a good high earning one, at least from the IG couples I've seen. So maybe OP its worth it to say and fight it out you might strike out but you might strike gold. Go hang out at the St. Regis, ATL Black elite love that hotel lol

My friend lives in GA. Met a dude on POF in March, engaged by May and bought a home with him in Sept. The only silver lining is that the wedding isn't until 2022. I haven't asked one thing about him because I figured she would volunteer if she wanted.

Anyway, all hope isn't lost!!

No one, and I mean absolutely no one: ...
Black Men in ATL:

Disclaimer, this is meant to be sarcastic..

Lmao, no but seriously though... I’ve only ever seen LSA fonts complain about the dating scene in ATL. However, I do believe that you all are being honest because... I mean... it’s Atlanta.

Are the guys you’re meeting ATL natives or transplants? I feel like this matters.

I recently moved to ATL (GA native, I’ve lived in 2 other GA cities besides ATL) and haven’t been on a single date yet... but that’s because of COVID and I’m not really sure how that’s supposed to work. :sidefrown I’m honestly not even sure how to navigate dating in the “real world” because I’m so used to being around guys in college and it’s lot easier than having to actually put myself out there.

How about IR dating?

This is an option too. But in my personal experience, Atl is kind of segregated and not very progressive. I don't approach men and the only non-black men that I have dated since they approached me while out have been from other countries (Iran, France, and Australia).

I have a friend that lived in Atlanta and she said, if you stay in Atlanta don’t date in Atlanta, I feel bad for people who live in Atlanta.

Atlanta does sounds bad, my condolences to you. People have suggested moving and that sounds like a good idea although not always reasonable.

But imagine trying to date in a place where men think it's a women's job to initiate? I struggle for the both or us.
