There are a few people I stopped speaking to over voting Democrat on this ballot. When asked why they were voting a certain way, most couldn't come up with any answer beyond "But trump".

It dawned on me that if they could be persuaded to vote for a guy who's a documented segregationist and a woman who's only black for the 6 weeks every couple of years that she needs votes, then they were susceptible to any manipulation and I don't want people like that around me.

Nope. Especially black folks who caped for Jim Crow Joe. I just smirk when I look at them because they're carrying around the biggest L and the burden of everything happening and everything to come. I enjoy it.

If I were to stop speaking to someone, it would be Trump voters lmao. I just honestly know not to have certain conversations with certain people about certain things if we are going to try to remain cordial.

You'd probably have to disown probably most black people you know. lol

I think the OP is being sarcastic.

But I hope as we go forward, as black people...we will stop all of this acting like we are about to stop talking to each other over politics that really keep us broke, segregated from living well as a whole and under-educated as a whole.

But the closer we get to a general election, many black people lose their ever-loving minds over how ALL black people are going to vote.

This has to stop and people are acting like this at ADVANCED ages 50, 60+. I mean damn, you don't see that we are STILL broke as hell under our current strategies?

The hilariousness of those who voted for Biden/Harris automatically thinking that anyone who didn't vote for them voted for Trump as if there weren't at least 3 other people on the ballots in most states (despite the democrats trying to keep them off ballots)

Combined Biden and Trump received 98.2% of the vote. Only Libertarian candidate Jo Jorgensen got more than 1M votes so no, it’s not a baseless assumption.

We're still broke because the government put policies into place that allows everyone else to build generational wealth but us. Biden's plan to stabilize workers post-pandemic does not include ADOS.

That is true. So how does it make sense for us to be sitting around mad at other black people because of who they voted for if neither side is getting down to the root issue? It's crazy.

I just think it's dumb how black people are so quick to assume things about your character and react so emotionally when you don't vote for who they think you should or have the ideas they think you should just cause you're black.

No. Almost every voting "progressive" and voting radical I know voted for them and went kicking and screaming up and down the timeline the whole time. The only people I cut off were QaNon people because you not bout to be calling me a sheep just because I don't believe the same sh!t as you. I'm a radical, but QaNon seems like misinformation/propaganda to me.

Your trolling used to be better, now it's just sad.
I still kinda snickered at this attempt but they did use to hit different. Maybe without the actual Trump back drop its a little more cringy... I mean I knew what I was getting when I clicked on the thread but this was a pretty low effort troll tbh.

It doesn't make sense. However, it's frustrating to try to tell people things and it falls on deaf ears. When I talked about why I wouldn't be voting for Biden/Harris, I brought up their tracks records. I brought up their pattern of doing things that were detrimental to ADOS.

The response I got, "Can't people change?" Not overnight.

"But Trump ...." Now I get that Trump didn't handle COVID-19 well. But you also have people who act as if racism started and stopped with Trump when we had a whole 200 years of slavery and Jim Crow was a thing before Trump was even born. "Police and vigilantes are killing us because of Trump." Well, it was happening during the Obama years too. Trump is gone and it's still happening. Now what?

I think those of us who refused to vote for Biden/Kamala are angry because other black people were too willfully ignorant to listen to us. They thought, Well Biden was Obama's VP so he can't be so bad and Kamala went to Howard and she wears Chucks and listens to Cardi B.

Just infantile, emotional responses to people who, when in office, have the power to affect our lives. With Biden's and Kamala's histories, it will undoubtedly be for the worse.

I'm not saying that we should cut anyone off over politics. We should do our best to inform the uninformed. I used to be the uninformed.
