Disney is becoming over commercialized. They can't just keep making remakes forever and pricing people out of their parks.

Disney will make it right. They will lower the price for locals. Get it popping and then bam -- back to getting bank.

Is this only a thing at Disneyland?

I'm on the East Coast and I know quite a few people who go to Disney World at least once or twice a year.

Disney world is always packed. Not only that the area itself is always packed. You don’t even have to go in the park to go to certain restaurants, the movies, or the stores.

It sure as hell wasn't empty when I went there. The mornings have smaller crowds but by 3 or 4pm, it's packed to the point where you're constantly sidestepping people.

one day is nothing. there will slow days, even a slow week. ring the alarm when they are having a slow month.

seems the focus is on Disney World. They are constructing like crazy to keep up with Harry Potter. revamped Jurassic World is right around the corner. this next decade is going to be insane for the east coast.

The "empty" days are the best times to go. Once it was so slow that they let us ride through the Pirates like four times straight. Good times.

I wish the MK and other WDW parks could be "empty" when I'm planning to be there in a few months. But I know that with the Star Wars land opening it's going to be a hot fµck!ng mess. I'm planning a trip now and have already made my dinner reservations but for some reason I still don't really know if I want to go. Something is telling me to wait until next year, but they're going to open the Star Wars hotel next year (I think) and it'll be just as crowded then, too.

every time I go it's a zoo. Wish they would raise their prices an extra $100. Or have a designated adults only day. I know DL is for kids, but they're annoying tbh

I like going while school is still in session. There are still kids and crowds, but not nearly as many as during the summer. We always try to go in the fall. Halloween day it is always full of kids, but the other days before and after don't have as many because they're in school, unless it's the weekend.

This was my rationale for going at the end of May just before school let out, but some of my friends who have gone recently have said that the park has been relatively chill, and we're in the dead middle of summer. Thank God I got there early and was ready to go by 4pm anyway.

Disneyworld> Disneyland and I wouldnt expect it to be jam packed all the time. I would love to go when it's not that packed. When I went a few years ago it was over crowded and them bathrooms were so stank.

It seems like everyone is getting on season passes to do Disney especially residents who get those nice discounts. My friend just got an AP pass for Disney world and they are always there for mickeys not so scary halloween party, christmas, etc. Last time we went during peak season and the park was packed I spent most of it in Tomorrowland in the shops trying to cool down.

Disney is way too expensive. I took the cruise a couple years ago and realized I could’ve saved thousands if I had went on carnival or royal caribbean instead.

Our trip last summer we went swimming during the day and went to the parks at evenings it was dead it was like everyone went home and the lines were flying. I also got a good view of the fireworks show lol. I want a pass so bad, but moving to the west coast in a few months I know california doesn't compare exactly to florida.

I guess after that Toontown Tussle the other day people don't want any parts of that overpriced mess.

That and the lack of security must have opened people's eyes about those overpriced parks.

I know I would think twice about going there now, that place gives one a false sense of security when in reality it was shown you are on your own out there.

I will never forget the day I paid $8 just to get a cold slice of pizza.

That lady looked at me with a huge smile on her face knowing damn well that pizza been sitting out.

$8 for one slice of cold ass pizza

Yes...I hold a grudge against them for a cold one slice of pizza. I’m greedy I was expecting their food to be magical....but I was left disappointed.

Didn’t get to meet my fave Disney characters only Mini Mouse.

Disneyland pretty much said

“fµck your childhood dreams....we are going to over price you with sh!t.....and not let you see your fave Disney characters.”

Oh it’s like that Disney?

One of my fave childhood actors Cameron Boyce just passed. My childhood is just empty at this point.

Don’t know if I will be paying all that money again....don’t want to be left broken hearted once again. (n)

R.I.P to Cameron Boyce and the rest of what’s left of My childhood.

At least I have still have princess Tiana. Even tho they tried to white wash her in the new princess movie

Disneyland tickets aren't expensive, are y'all talking about the prices of the food and merch being too high?

My son hates Disney. They ran out of corn dogs right before he ordered his, the person in front of us got the last one. We were at one of the booths that had the entrees on one side and then fries/sides at the other window. Instead of being allowed to order something else, to compensate for the time spent in line, we were told we’d have to go get in the other line and wait all over again. He will not go back.

Exactly. I go to Disney on a regular basis, and every so often, you will get a couple of slow days or maybe even a slow week.

In this case, it’s because they just opened Stars Wars Galaxy’s Edge and they subsequently blocked off some passholders from visiting so it won’t be too busy.

The best time to go is when they block off passholders (excluding Christmastime) or when kids are back in school. This happens a few times a year and will happen again lol. They have nothing to worry about.

When we went to Disneyland it was overpriced and crowded. The most popular rides were broken down. The food was nasty and I had to take my kids across the street to McDonald's to get something to eat because they hated the food so much.

It ain't look empty during that Disneyland brawl
I aint gonna lie, when I saw that fight I was a little excited thinking that the prices were going to drop. Im not planning on going to that hell hole but I was hoping that they would lose money because they are greedy as hell charging $150. However, the public is stupid as hell for paying for that garbage and for what??? fµck!ng Universal City Walk is free and colorful enough, your kids won't know the difference. Spend a few bucks and get them a Mickey ice cream bar and some stickers, take them to see Aladdin and call it a fµck!ng day!

I get free park-hopper tickets at the end of every year. I get there when the park opens and have about three good hours of enjoying myself before the "too many people" brigade shows up, which is exactly when I make my exit. DL is very much overpriced and Walt should be turning in his grave at the cost of admission.

It's too early to officially tell, but Star wars Galaxy Edge is not holding people's interest. There's mostly gift shops and droid/ship replicas spread throughout, with one ride that isn't worth 1hr wait. apparently the Pilot seats are the best on the ride.

The food seems hit or miss.
The show aspects of the land is lacking and it's only the atmosphere that is entertaining. The lightsaber experience is $200/per person. The cantina is very hard to get into and the Build a droid shop is $100/per person. I think they over hyped it and should have waited until Rise of the Resistance is ready.

Disney is empty because it's a passholder park, not a tourist park like Disneyworld. They'll be butt to butt once the passes open up again.

After seeing how long it took security to stop that pack of out of control family members, I wouldn’t go there either. Paying all that money to have fun but when you see how long that guy was attacking women and not one security guard stop the insanity nope, I would spend my hundreds else where.

Maybe now they will hire better security, some driving around in carts to get to the scene quicker. Put into place a plan if a call comes in defuse the situation immediately in numbers, contain and remove the people from the park until arrested.
