It's both telling and frustrating that the Black gay men who barely like Black people have some the biggest platforms in this industry.
I've been holding this back. But, let's have a chat.
When I made the post about not seeing Black gay couple in TV and film, more than a few people came in my DMs asking what I have against interracial relationships.

Not a damn thing. But, I do have an issue with the misrepresentation of Black gay life and love.
And, what I see is... Black gay actors, writers and directors with an affinity for whiteness becoming leading voices for Black men that they don't f*ck with in real life.
We deserve Black gay talent that also love Black people. How else are we going to get AUTHENTIC stories? There is no reason to continually center whiteness in our stories. Well... it sells. So, I get it. I just want better for us.
But these plays, TV shows, and movies that center whiteness and interracial relationships are typically given the green light and lauded for being daring when it's mostly pandering.
