Well I was at the laundromat and it came on before Ellen and her interviews were awkward - her vocabulary is limited (she would repeat words her guests say, seemingly at a lost for words), overly complimentary, and one of her guests even said she’s bored with what they’re talking about (but in a nice way).

Why does this frumpy woman have a show?

idk why kelly clarkson has been put at the forefront as a media person, she should've just stuck to singing

I was surprised when it was announced that she would be hosting a show.

I like Kelly but it's fµck!ng painful just to get through a 5m youtube clip of her segment. She asks the stupidest questions about sh!t like what type of snacks do you eat to celebrities. Out of all the things you can ask a famous person, you want to spend 4m talking about snacking? omg

She and drew's show are filler shows in between ellen and other talk shows. People use her air time to do chores around the house. It's background noise like elevator music. You can't even watch the show because she talks about boring nonsense.

Kelly doesn't have a personality. James Corden is even better than that

I enjoy her singing segments but I zone out with the interviews
She’s lovely but I’ve never seen anyone talk so much without taking a breath

Before they split, her husband/former manager shopped it around and talked her into doing it.

But I can't stand it either. I thought it would be one and done after one season, but it's still kicking and she got an Emmy for it. :unsure:Competition must have been weak.

Also, she needs a fashion intervention. I know her and ex-mother-in-law Reba are still on good terms, so I don't know why Big Red won't help her out and direct her to a stylist.

I know she sees Kelly looking a fµck!ng hot mess everyday.

I have never watched it but tv hosting seems to be a common job for singers who get tired of singing full time.

NBC gave Kelly the show because Steve Harvey pissed them off once he fulfilled his contract.

The network thought Steve was going re-sign with their peeps. But, Uncle Steve threw NBC a curve ball and signed with IMG.

IMG's offer to Steve was far better than NBC. Steve owned his show, made more money, create shows & specials, gave him final say on topics, guests and he didn't have to fork over most of money to NBCU.

So, NBC cancelled their distribution and probably white balled him.

Either way, I would much rather watch Steve than Kelly Clarkson or Drew Barrymore show.

She has a show because Steve Harvey talked himself off the air!

Alright, well they could’ve chosen ANYONE else and it would’ve seemed more of an appropriate pick. Sure she’s likable but this proves that most of America is brain dead if her ratings are doing well.

I can confirmed (As new numbers were just released) that most of America is definitely brain dead.

Why is she always yelling though? Whenever I see her show it sounds like she's yelling instead of talking

My mom (who’s in her seventies) loves Kelly, won’t hear a bad word about it. But to when she sends me clips of her show... bleh

I saw this recently in my guide and thought what the hell... lol. Who asked for this?
This proves with support anyone could have a show.

I’d like to know the exact same thing./ her and Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore has her own production company and could easily produce her own talk show. She's on the wrong side of 40, and her acting was always a kind of character (perky and childish) she wasn't pulling off as she approaches fifty. If she didn't get an acting gig on a TV show, this might be the best way for her to make big money on camera. She works mornings, gets a lot of attention, likely has an ownership position in her show (unlike Kelly Clarkson), and as Ellen falls off, she slides into that spot.

And doing business with CBS, if the daytime show doesn't work out, she's prepared to take over Late Late Show from James Corden if he leaves to go back to Britain.

Her show is a top show. I think she really appeals to middle America. I like her as a singer but I don’t watch her show. I’ve seen a little and I can see why middle class America loves it. She’s not an offensive person at all but she gives a very down to earth girl next door vibe.

She has likability. She seems genuinely into the conversations she's having with people she's interviewing especially with music artists. It comes across as something she's passionate about. I love it when she harmonizes with guests.

Alanis Morisette is on today. Her face looks like she had some kind of shot that froze certain parts of her face but I love hearing her perform her songs with Kelly.

Kelly is growing into the role and has gotten a lot better. I think she'd make a good night-time host.
