The clip itself doesn't make me uncomfortable bc the little girl is just mimicking. The comments make me uncomfortable. I don't like grown people ascribing religious devotion to children when they're clearly just copying the people around them.
no. its church. some folks even kids, feel the spirit more than others. and some of the kids probably think its fun to do it. i see no harm. its other(mostly non-believers) folks comments that warps it. but since most folks hang out in this religious forums to mock believers(like this topic probably will go) imma head out...
I saw this growing up. There was a kid my age (8-10 at the time) who would lead prayer some Sundays and he was very obviously just copy and pasting the same buzzwords and phrases and mannerisms of the pastors we've seen. And the more the people encouraged it the more over the top he would get. I was always frustrated that it seemed like nobody could understand/see what was clearly going on and would actually scold me for questioning it. They would say "______ really knows how to pray" "God is speaking through him" . No, he's just really good at hyping yall up and you're projecting. A child doesn't even understand what "trials and tribulations" really are
Anything religious that involves kids makes me uncomfortable, from the brainwashing to the pedo stuff. But then again, who would believe in (most?) religions if they learned about it in adulthood?
