A delivery driver who sent a text asking a customer to 'help him out xesually' so he would deliver her food has been sacked.
A screenshot of the exchange was posted to Facebook - prompting American company DoorDash to remove the driver from the platform.
After receiving the message, the woman - who had ordered a takeaway - took to social media to share the incident, which happened on March 2.
The exchange began when the driver sent a text, stating: "Question for ya," to which the woman replied "Yes?"
He then bluntly asked: "First, are you single lol," to which she replied: "I have a boyfriend."
Undeterred, he continued: "Well look. First off, it's late, wet, rainy and I'm tired. Doordash offered me this delivery when I was 10 miles away, meaning there's not many drivers out.
"So I'll make you a deal. Help me out a little xesually and I'll deliver the food. If not, I'm going to have to cancel."
After receiving the messages, the woman shared them online, where she wrote: "I can’t believe this happened. I feel incredibly unsafe because now this sick individual has both my phone number and my address.
"I called the customer service phone number and all they said was “He must’ve been tired.” And reassigned my driver. I will not be using Doordash Drivers in the future if they’re going to allow this to happen."
The exchange went viral online, where other people shared their sympathy at the unacceptable exchange.
A DoorDash spokesman told The Mirror: "This inappropriate and unacceptable behaviour is never tolerated on the DoorDash platform.
"The Dasher involved was immediately deactivated earlier this month when the incident occurred, and we have been in touch with the customer and fully refunded the order.
"We sincerely regret that this incident fell short of the experience we strive to provide every day.”
