While on a road trip, Cookie, Candace and Carol take a painful trip down memory lane; Lucious uses something special from the past to help give Yana her big break; Teri becomes increasingly more fearful of Andre.
Chile somebody better help Andre
I haven't watched Empire in a long ass time. They STILL have Andre off his meds?
So Carol and Candace were trying to rat out Lucius but Cookie got caught up instead.
Is that what got Carol on the drugs? The guilt from it all?

I forgot what happened to their mama...she just left, or did she die or something?
Why is Lucious still holding on to letters he wrote for Cookie?
Those letters should have been given to her when they reconciled. I guess the writers are looking for a way to bring them back together again, but it's corny and lazy.
Andre needs to be committed. I think Andre still feels some guilt over Kingsley's death and having his heart. The Kingsley persona is basically the side that real Kingsley felt last season - neglected and forgotten by Lucious. It's crazy how Andre and Kingsley are so much alike. Jamal and Hakeem were so close because they both had musical talent. Andre and Kingsley could have worked well because they both felt not important to Lucious and both were business savvy Ivy League men. The writers missed the boat with that, so we got this Andre D.I.D storyline instead.
Carol's lowdown abusive boyfriend Dorrell got her hooked. So Carol and Candace were trying to rat out Lucius but Cookie got caught up and locked up instead.

They added the extra two episodes to get Empire to 100 episodes for syndication. There are six episodes left. I'm not sure why they just didn't following the 18 episode format. I don't see why there's a need for two additional episodes.
Two extra episodes puts them at 104. The regular 18-episode set up would have put them at 102 episodes, enough for syndication. They added the extra two episodes to get Empire to 100 episodes for syndication.
Okay, thanks. I should've known better quoting Lee Daniels. The extra episodes was part of a discussion in The Breakfast Club. Two extra episodes puts them at 104. The regular 18-episode set up would have put them at 102 episodes, enough for syndication.
