What notes work well together? Do you avoid using certain notes for certain layers? Or limit certain notes to certain layers?
i like orange and ocean/sea scents together.
You know I just tried a new orange scent I actually really like and I think some salty sea water, ozonic notes would do well with it now that I think about it. Thank you!i like orange and ocean/sea scents together.
Atelier Cologne has one of the best orange scents. It's true to scent and has a good linger.interesting, will try this.
anything you recommend for the orange?

Literally the Atelier Cologne haha. I didn't think I'd enjoy it as much as I did but it just smells like a fresh cut orange in the most pleasant and wearable way.Atelier Cologne has one of the best orange scents. It's true to scent and has a good linger.

This is all exactly what I do.I match fragrances that have similar vibes, as in they make me feel the same way. I'll do fragrances in the same family, ie gourmand. Yesterday I mixed a vanilla fragrance with a caramel fragrance. Then I'll mix fragrances that share a note or two. Also fragrances that lean too much in one way, let's say it's too masculine, then I'll add something to make it less masculine.
