that was not enough
I think Haitians are easy to recognize by y'all's nice cheeks/ cheekbones, big heads (no offence lol), and kinda upward turned eyes. Very beautiful
I had no idea you were Haitian
@Kenny cash you skeptic vote or down vote all my comments in every thread when it's completely uncalled for. What you mad about sis? Make a thread about that instead of stupid ass threads like this.
does it hurt?
Only in your wildest dreams it does. I know it DOES hurt however to create a thread that you foolishly believed would create discourse and you instead opened yourself up to warranted criticism. Seethe on the ignore list sis.
Why can’t I see the picture??
For a different perspective. To me the posture says no. Sometimes it's not the face but how you carry yourself.
I’m half Haitian, and didn’t grow up with that side of my family. A few years ago, I got back in contact with my dad, and have been learning and digesting more. I have had this face for 30 plus years and know it inside out, but to suddenly recognize things you thought were inherently you as a commonality of your country men is very interesting. Slightly disorienting, but endearing overall.I think Haitians are easy to recognize by y'all's nice cheeks/ cheekbones, big heads (no offence lol), and kinda upward turned eyes. Very beautiful

I can't explain it, but as soon as I saw her I knew she was Haitian, there are a lot of Haitians from the south who mainly look like her like in Jérémie, Les Cayes, most people don't know that but Haitians did split up among tribes after the revolution, which is why each region tends to have some distinct reputation, appearance and attitude
it's the same way that I can recognize them as Haitians even among thousands of others however I could be wrong sometime though
Yes, these two women have a "haitian look" so does Garcelle Beauvais. But not limited to Haiti. Lots of people think I am Haitian or Dominican Rep. because of my full almond shaped eyes cheekbones and skin tone but I am from elsewhere. I take it as a compliment though.
Eg: St Lucians, JA's, Trinis have a particular look too.
I know, what country are you from?
many of us might related with specific tribes in Africa
If I saw her I would think Jamaican. Can't place why
what common ancestry do the people from Barbados most often reported to ?
@Surreal our Ancestry expert, can you educate us on this please?
Can we talk about her stomach instead?
I should research that! All I know is Yoruba ancestry with Irish and Scottish sprinkled in.
They have mostly Lower Guinean DNA. 80-90% African on average. Their European is usually British and Irish based.
What is the common Haitian look? I'm ADOS but people often tell me that I look like I'm from Haiti, some even going as far to speak in creole to me. What does this mean???
Do you have a curvy body in the right places?
Curvy like this. The girl in the OP has a taller lean look. Almost like she is Senegalese
She looks like Oumi Janta to me. They have similar body types.

I think jessie woo is a good example of a Haitian look.

I am tall and lean. My body looks more like the girl in the video except I'm a little thicker.
My other half is Bajan lol! I like where this thread is goingI googled the people of Lower Guinea, Benin to be exact, and would say you are correct as to what Bajan facial features most resemble and they also are Yoruba.

OP, can you identify with where your own people come from? Haitians come in a wide variety of skin tones. Plenty of Haitians that look like this.
They certainly do but you have to be Haitian yourself to spot it.I don't think Haitian have a common look but there's is a look that most ppl associate with Haitian like that comedian singer instagram girl Jessy Woo (is that her name)
Your ancestors may have come from the same region(s) as ours so that may be why people confuse you for a Haitian. What is the common Haitian look? I'm ADOS but people often tell me that I look like I'm from Haiti, some even going as far to speak in creole to me. What does this mean???
