My feet have been super dry lately even right after a pedi and moisturizing twice a day. I’m thinking of getting one of those peel masks but I don’t want to be shedding skin for weeks. Any good / secret foot moisturizing products? Tips / tricks. Also hand cream? Has anyone done the listerine foot soak? I saw it on pinterest

have you tried using pumice in the shower? You can collect it from the sea or a river.

You can apply a heavy oil (coconut oil etc) and put socks on overnight.

Soak them in milk and epsom salt foot bath. Use sugar scrub then follow up with foot file/pumice stone to slough off dead skin. Apply thick body butter, and wear gel lined socks. Same for hands, just gel lined gloves.

I swear by vaseline petroleum jelly. I pumice my feet daily during my shower and let my feet air dry. I do a mix of Keri lotion and vaseline all over but especially on my feet and they stay soft.

I use these two products and my feet are so soft! I only get a pedicure once a month now as oppose to every two weeks.

After you wash your feet, pat them dry. Then put Vaseline on them then put on some socks. This should do it.

Girl pedicures at the salon dont do ish for me. Neither does vaseline. I started doing my own pedicures and my feet have become very soft.

I have a homedics foot spa thing that keeps the water warm. I soak my foot in very warm near hot water and epsom salt for a while ( im usually on my laptop at my desk so time flies)
Then use the callus remover gel all over the sole of your feet, gently stick them back in the warm water for 15-20 mins. The warm water first softens the feet, the callus remover then can get deper and by putting my foot back into the water it drives the callus remkver deeper.
After about 20 minutes take one foot out and pat dry (but it will remian damp cause it was soaking for so long) and buff very quickly with an pedicure emery board (they are wide and flat) concentrate on the super crusty area. I have dead skin rolling off and falling all over the place. Once the foot starts to dry Place the foot back in the water and do the same to the other foot. After five more minutes buff one foot at a time again. Then wash you feetto make sure all the epsom sLt and callus remover are gone. The. Makes sure you heavily moisturize your feet daily. My feet used to be sooo dry and rough but now they are very soft and sometimes are a little moist. You know like those people who have soft hands and when you shake their hands it feels a little moist? Its kind of like that now.

I need to soak my feet today if I have time. My feet are improving but they can be better . My routine every week is to soak my feet twice a week for at least 30 minutes. I add a little baby oil and bath salt if I have it. Than I follow up with a body scrub and some bath and body works lotions . Lastly , I put on some fluffy socks. Going for a professional pedicure does not do much for me. I can get my feet softer at home by taking my time. I feel like at some nail shops. They will rush through the pedicure steps . My goal is to just have baby soft feet .

Normally, I'll go to the nail shop and add a callous removal treatment to my pedicure. It's about $5 extra.

I'm not sure if adding a callous removal treatment to your manicure is possible, but it's worth asking.

To maintain, I soak my feet, use a foot file to scrub of the callouses, then polish with my spin brush using the pumice stone attachment.

You guys have to ask for a callous removal treatment if you want them to remove the crust from your feet.

A basic pedicure doesn't include crust removal.

For dry hands?
I recommend Vitamin E oil + face lotion or any diabetic lotions.
I use CreaVe for my lotion choice and I recommend it to everyone. They have an face, hands, body, and Feet as well. They the best with added Essentials
900.jpg

Diabetic Lotions- Diabetics typical have drier skin and need more moisture so, they got the best-unscented lotions.
Face Lotions - typical have ceramides, Hyaluronic acid, and Niacinamide with helps with the moisture barrier and attracting moisture to the skin.

-I will wet my hands then put the oil on and massage in.
-Wait 5-10 minutes then apply lotion and I am good all day even if I was my hands they are still hydrated.

I use Baby Foot Exfoliant Foot Peel then moisturize with Gold Bond Softening Foot Cream. With my hands, I moisturize with Gold Bond Healing Hand Cream and Supergoop! Forever Young Hand Cream SPF 40 for sun protection.

The BabyFoot mask doesn't peel for too long. I soaked before I used it, wore the mask for 1 hour. Your feet will peel quickly if you don't wear lotion until the peeling is complete, and soak your feet daily and gently rub away the dead skin after with a wash cloth. I did my peel on a Sunday night, started peeling on Wednesday and the flaking was completely done by Saturday. To maintain between peels I use Amlactin on damp skin, then seal it with a heavy thick cream.

These are my favorite hand and foot creams:
Heel Of Approval Cracked Heel Treatment - True Blue Spa | Bath & Body Works
Look Ma, New Hands Super Softening Hand Lotion - True Blue Spa | Bath & Body Works
Their regular body products don't do much for me, but these two I love. I have the handcream at every sink in my house and in my purse, and I put it on every single time I wash my hands. For me I have to prevent my hands from getting dry in the first place. If I wait all day to do some kind of treatment at night, it's too late.

I’ve used all of those before they are very good !

Dont sleep on the foot peel. I did it few months ago and it was kinda disgusting but I'm glad I did it. Just make sure you soak your feet at least 10 minutes every day after you do the peel and once your feet starts peeling try not to peel the skin off. Let it fall off on its own.

Softness lasts like two weeks with proper moisturizing. I less time consuming short cut is to pumice at the end of your shower and when you get out rub your foot with the emery board. Doesn’t last as long but helps for a few days up to a week

My Nivea 72 hour moisture body lotion. Just liberally apply it to the feet and I’m good. When you get all the dead skin off your feet really don’t need nothing special to moisturize it

How long did you do this before you saw any changes? And how bad were your feet before you started this?

Thanks for being so detailed!!! I'm literally gonna follow this to a T and hopefully my hard dry feet will be gone!

i saw a change within the first session. Alot of salons dont let your foot soak long enough to soften and dont leave the callous remover on long enough. my foot was average. It wasnt suuuuper crusty or anything. My heels and big toe were the roughest areas. Also had deep grooves around the heel. But it would get dry like an hour after applying moisturizer. It was embarrassing when going out and i made sure to apply lotion heavily to my feet, only to look down at my heels and see my feet were ashy:mask:. Feet with alot of dead skin will always rapidly absorb moisture then be dry again.

Does anyone else use that callus remover that they use at salons and find that it makes your feet drier afterward ?

I use it at home and it doesn't dry my feet but I also rub 100% almond oil all over my feet and put on socks after every shower.
