So I went to a job interview one week ago. It went fine I thought, until at the end of the interview when I was asked to give my resume, I noticed I had forgotten to bring my resume. I told the man I'd email him a copy. I did the next day.

I called back 3 days later and the man said he had more people to interview for the position.

Now it's been a week and I've heard nothing back. Should I call again?

Did I screw myself over by forgetting to bring the resume? I feel like I fumbled the bag big time because had I got this job I would've been making $20 an hour

Did they say when you’d hear back?

Also, always send a thank you email or note after you interview, within 24 hours.

Call again, jobs do take their time to hire and do on boarding so there’s still a chance.

I would say maybe wait another week or so. These things can take time, depending on the employer. In the meantime, think positive and stay encouraged. Wishing you the very best. You got this!

Maybe follow up at the end of the week. It's possible that they may have already hired. It's tough to know with jobs. Some places will already have someone in mind who they want to hire or have hired but for legal reasons still have to post it as vacant. Some hire within 24 hours others take their time. Like someone said, always keep your options open and apply everywhere. I also imagine that it's even worse with covid. So many people are seeking employment.
