Don’t worry if you don’t have a hobby that translates into some great Facebook post. It’s for you, and even if you’re the worst person in the world at it, but it gives you enjoyment...that’s all that matters.

I stick to working out (no record setting paces here) and just enjoying nature. I also binge “watch” (listen) to TV shows I like while I’m working out. It might not make an IG story, but it gives me two hours where I’m not thinking about my everyday life...and that’s the point.

What do you love? If you're having a hard time identifying something, you might be depressed. Spend your free time doing whatever you love and that might inspire you to get creative.

Making jewelry is fun! I love playing around with beads. Easy for beginners, no right/wrong way to do it, and you can show off your work. And if you like it, there's always new techniques and projects to try. Just an idea.

I want to try archery, aerial yoga and MMA.
I was about to join a yoga studio but then they closed due to the virus.
omg these were two things that were on my "to try" list for 2020. I got to try archery in grade school and it was so fun.

I bought a longboard (longer skateboard) this summer. I got a helmet, wrist/elbow/knee pads because, you know, safety first(y). At first I felt dumb but I live near a school and just skate there to avoid an audience. Now nobody can tell me a damn thing with all my gear on and I get better every day I skate.

Get out there!
What kind of longboard did you get? Looking for an outdoor activity outside of walking/hiking.

What are your talents? What are some things you’re inherently good at? What makes you smile? You can branch your hobbies off of your gifts and they may become interests.

correct, the best hobbies are things you love and come naturally to you

Video games is one of my favorite hobbies to do and brag on. You just have to have the right mind set.

And if you aren't gonna stick to do something when it gets hard, what's the point.

Gardening is rewarding. It doesn’t even have to be “big gardening” but throw some seeds in a planter in a window and watch it grow.

I was into drawing background art but I realized I wasn't that good at it and got frustrated with it. I bought a skateboard but I am too embarrassed to practice riding it. I tried ukelele but my neighbors would complain. I might take it back up but I have a feeling I will quickly lose interest
Are you fµck!ng with us about this ukelele?? Bc sis IM SCREAMINGGGGGGG RN

The complaints are sending me tbh. How does that even sound???
Bbbwwwwaaaahhhhaaaahaaaa

Things that don't need any particular skill

Adult coloring books
Paper crafts
Birdwatching
Homemade candles or soaps
Blogging about classic books, films, etc
Picking a cookbook and cooking/baking your way through it a là Julie & Julia (I'm about to start doing this with the dessert book Bravetart)

Things that have a bit of a learning curve but are still very doable

Knitting/crocheting
Hair or makeup (you can choose a niche like vintage or costume makeup)
Sewing
Learning a new language

Excellent ideas!

Get a textured hair mannequin from Amazon and teach yourself how to do knotless and feed in braids. There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube and eventually youll be able to make money off your hobby.

I briefly tried to take up some hobbies but none were really enjoyable for me. Eventually, they got frustrating to learn and I didn't even bother with them. I don't really have any real interests. I play video games but I don't love them I just use it to pass the time. And it's not really a hobby where I can brag on and show people.
Learn guitar I’m already a month in and as bad if not better then Hendrix find a hobby you can bank on honestly

You had better put on your glasses and get your archery game on. You might have the time of your life. I wear glasses too and I don't trip off it.

I like the photography idea that a font mentioned. I used to do photography at my first college. One of my profs told me I have a good eye for composition. And I love how you can edit pictures to look completely different from the original.

And pressing flowers into a book. I'd like to pick wildflowers and 'weeds'.

Another idea is making mood boards. They're calming and aesthetically pleasing.

I stumbled upon this thread and I'm very interested in making gravlax. I've read up on it and saw a video but if you have made it do you have any tips? Thanks xx

Make small quilts for pets. Sew together the squares and decorate each square with bone shapes & doggy paw shapes, then sell the quilts for a profit.
