Do you have to re apply or is once a day enough?

Something that always annoyed me about sunscreen is that they always tell you to apply it 15 minutes before going out and reapply every 2 hours, but who has time for that when you're out and about? What if you put it on under makeup? Do you have to find a bathroom to wash it off just so you can reapply your sunscreen and then re-do your makeup?

Some setting sprays have spf in them so you can just mist your face.
But since I usually only do my eyebrows. I try my best to reapply with a sunscreen sample I keep in my purse

OP, yes it's very important to use suncreen when you have dark spots especially if you're using active ingredients that can give the reverse effect when exposed to the sun's rays.

The 15 isn't for it to "activate" it's so it has time to create an even layer over your face. But you can totally go out after just putting on especially if it is fast absorbing like the ones that have alcohol in them.

And you only really need to reapply if you are sweating or getting wetting. Or if you rub your face a lot

I apply sunscreen in the morning before I leave the house and again before I leave work. It may be an inconvenience to reapply, but it is totally worth it. My dark spots have decreased significantly. Also, if you are using chemical exfoliants or a retinoid, it's mandatory to wear sunscreen. Overall, the results are worth the annoyance for me.

Sunscreens are an emulsion and that fifteen minutes is time for the sunscreen to level and provide even protection, provided that you apply an adequate amount and apply it evenly. That's why you should shake your sunscreen for at least ten seconds before dispensing it.
