I love crab claws! I always get them when they’re in season at Pappadeaux!
Claws are good too. But, I like the legs more.

Pappadeaux’s is my spot. But, I never tried their crab. I always get the Lobster Tail

Same. I eat crab legs like 2x a week in a seafood boil. Lol

I do like the claws at pappadeaux though. They’re seasonal and come fried or sautéed. The sautéed are SO GOOD!!! Messy, but good, served with dirty rice!

I've only had snow, so snow.

I only hear about blue crabs in the DMV area. This is the season for it, but I only like crab legs ... who has big enough ones to eat besides snow and king? I'll find them and try em.

They’re eaten in the south too (FL, GA, SC for sure & heavily). I always get a tray like this when I’m in Florida. My country cousins will do a seafood boil with blue crabs, ox tail, neckbones, turkey necks, potatoes, eggs and whatever else meat they find, lmao.

I love blue crabs, king crab, and snow.

Wait a fµck!n minute. Why do they call them blue, when they are orange. I had them once in Texas, I think I remember them being blue.

3 way tie! Snow, Dungeness and king crab b/c they're meaty. I like blue but sometimes it's so much work for such little meat!

I prefer Dungeness. But, crabs are kinda regional. Dungeness are West coast crabs, I think.

Snow Crabs are popular because they are so big.
You're right. It doesn't taste right once frozen and cooked though. I tried some a few times in NYC and PA and they were NOT good! When I lived in LA and would travel to SF, the fresh ones were SOOO good; I love it Asian salt and pepper style.

Snow Crab legs with melted butter
And garlic?

I also like lemon with mine. But, I learned the hard way that if you put the lemon juice on before you bake them, the crab meat sometimes turn GREEN!

I saw them on delivery once and then my order got canceled. Lol so idk! Haha I know they’ve been pushing online ordering & pick-up a lot lately.
I hate that they are seasonal at some places. I want ‘em, when I want ‘em. I can’t be waiting months!

They turn orange after being cooked.

Ohhhh... maybe I didn’t have them.

If you read my thread called “What Would You Do?” Well, I tried the Blue Crabs at the same lady’s house who dropped the ham on the kitchen floor.

*smh*

They’re blue before they’re cooked, just like lobster and prawns they change color. Yea, they are small that’s why I like going to get trays and they’re already busted open, lol, but I mean now that I’m in Texas everyone eats crawfish and that’s entirely too small to do any work for, lol.

I always see the smaller ones in gumbo! It upsets me because it’s so hard to get to the meat. It’s like why are you here?! Lol
Exactly. Smelling all good and you breaking your teeth for just a pinch of meat. Torture, I tell ya!

I wonder if you can order them somewhere? I’ve never looked. That would be something good to make at home!

You can. I always order seafood from Alaska and they overnight it. Try Great Alaska Seafood or Ocean Side Seafood.
