I was looking up something I shouldn’t have. I should have minded my own business.

well since I didn’t, I now have a virus. It attacked my calendar. It put all these invites on my calendar telling me I have a virus. The reminders keep popping up. I deleted the app but I’m still getting these notifications.

any idea on how to fix this?!

Did you use safari and something popped up. Usually, I just X out the window. Maybe you like should take it to a phone store and see what they can do. Or maybe you can reset your phone to factory settings and kinda start over.

This happened to me before. I deleted it out of my calendar. It wasn’t even a real virus. At least I don’t think it was

iPhones don’t get viruses. Go to settings, delete history. Then go to settings, general, reset, erase all content and settings. May sure you back up your iPhone first.

You could have a profile installed. Look under settings>general and look for "profiles" towards the bottom. If you see that section, it means you have one, check to see what it is, if you don't recognize it, delete it.

Also, you can also mark the calendar invites as junk, I think that may stop the notifications too.

This is what I see. No option to send to junk or delete.

You don’t have a virus OP because it’s dang near impossible for iPhones to get them. It’s spam or a phishing scheme. If you’re unable to delete the calendar associated with the spam then check Settings>General>Profiles to see if anything is listed there.

Worst case scenario wiping your phone and erasing it would fix it but if your calendar is syncing to iCloud, I think you’ll have to turn that off before erasing your phone because certain things in cloud sync in real time regardless of if you have a backup or not and I believe calendar is one of those things.

You can find that in Settings>Your name>Calendar and then switch that feature off.. & then erase your phone and set it up again.

The OP of that India love OF thread posted a link where it was asking to install calendar subscriptions in order to look at the video as a pop up and I’m sure some people blindly clicked “ok” without fully reading what it was asking.

Try this:

How to remove calendar spam on your iPhone

  1. Open the Calendar app.
  2. At the bottom of the screen, tap Calendars.
  3. Look for a calendar that you don't recognize. Tap the More Info button

next to that calendar, then scroll down and tap Delete Calendar.

Girl this is not a virus. It’s a scam to make you think you have a virus. iPhones don’t get viruses. Don’t call any numbers or click any links if it asks you to. If that’s your calendar just delete the stuff and reset your phone. You’ll be fine
