They wouldn't look out of place in a sci-fi fantasy world, but these buildings actually exist on planet Earth. Among them are a whole host of buildings designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry, including the futuristic Lou Ruvo Center near Las Vegas, the Dancing House in Prague and the colorful Marqués De Riscal Hotel in Spain. I like the dancing houses, but not in this area. It doesn´t fit next to the old houses.

These are all ugly as sin. Everything I've seen of modern architure has been cold, dystopian, soulless, and brutalist. I prefer gothic revival, renaissance and baroque buildings, maybe they're too gaudy for some, but at least they have some expression and beauty.

I like that people are putting together different things. Everything won't be successful. Everything won't appeal to everyone's aesthetics. For some of them I look and think, what would firefighters have to go through to rescue people. But you have to do new things to figure out how to get more natural light for everyone. Maybe improve air circulation. Maybe spread the load out better for earthquakes. Also I wonder how some of them look from a walking around view rather than from high up.
