Anyone else turned off by these all professionals who claim to have some side hustle then add you and message about business partnership opportunities??

I have had this happened to me at least ten times within the past six months. it it is always someone claiming to be able to generate x amount of revenue in x amount of time. sh!t is getting annoying now.

At this point, I am going to start declining anyone who claims to have a business

I saw an episode of American Greed where this one Hispanic guy was pretending to be an Arab prince worth billions. He linked up with another scammer that he found on LinkedIn and they worked together to scam people into investing with them. They both got caught and got jail time. So yeah use LinkedIn with caution.

There was a font that posted about how she met this white guy from LinkedIn and he said he was attracted to her, wanted to met her, buy her gifts, essentially lovebombing her and they hadn't even met in person yet. So yeah a lot of men are using it as a dating site now apparently.

Since things shut down last year, I can't even count the number of times former co-workers and people I connected with years ago have reached out with "business opportunities". It's annoying and sad at the same time.

Just steer clear. No one who has found some "gold mine" opportunity is that excited to share their secret with everyone. These sound like MLM schemes at best.

I saw this episode. I was more confused by how anyone thought this man was Saudi. He looked like an overweight Hispanic man to me the moment I saw him.
Yeah I'm surprised nobody clocked the fact that he didn't even speak the language. I remember when they showed he got in trouble at one point that he was pretending to speak Arabic to the investigator but it was all gibberish.

LinkedIn has become Facebook. I hate it.

My connections are only people I KNOW in my profession.

Someone posted on Reddit about their new “job” making them by a cell phone and Venmo cash to another person. I’m not surprised there are scammers, but yikes. People are desperate now, too.

i just found this American Greed episode lol. It makes sense ppl would fall for it in Mich in the 80’s, but 2017 in Miami?!

LinkedIn is hell. If it wasn’t for the legitimate job postings I would have deleted my account years ago. All types of foolishness poppin off over there.

I had this happen to me right after I graduated college, and I was silly enough to bite. A girl I went to high school with ran that same line talking about "come to this meeting". Walked in and realized it was Amway. :eyeroll
