I tried it as people claimed it's one of the best seasonings ever but it doesn't do much for me. Is there any other seasoning on the market that's better than this?

Seasoned salts are cheating. My flavor comes from fresh vegetables and spices: onions, garlic, thyme, scallion, celery, tomato, bay leaf, rosemary, chipotle powder, sea salt, cumin, coriander, garam masala, curry, cinnamon, pepper, etc., and for an extra boost I MIGHT use Mrs. Dash which is just dried spices.

It’s one of the main seasonings I use, but I never use it alone... depends on what I use if for, I’ll add other seasons (without salt) like pepper, onion and garlic powder, paprika, etc.

I also like to use those cheap 50 cent herb seasonings with it from Walmart like their Italian seasoning.

I make a sofrito that I add to basically everything. I add onions, cilantro, peppers, garlic, celery, lemon juice/vinegar to a blender. Freeze it in serving proportions and then add to meat and vegetable dishes along with sauté onions, green peppers, garlic.

for beef: Trader Joe's 21 Seasoning Salute

for chicken/fish: Aldi's Garlic Salt with Parsley

Then I add other spices, depending on what kind of flavor I'm going for: onion powder, smoked paprika, old bay, cumin, basil

I've never bought pre-made seasons either myself. Growing up my parents always used separate seasonings/herbs, so I continued cuz it's all I know.
Only thing I use is Jerk marinade which comes in the jar, and I use "Italian" seasoning as well. And I add extra stuff to them to get my desired flavour. Other times I make my own marinate in the blender and store it in the fridge.

My ancestors are from the south...we don't use Adobo with REAL soul food. MSG is for people who can't really cook. Sorry.

You insulted seasoned salt and gave the nerve to invoke ancestor worship?

You can’t cook worth a damn. I can tell.

And she wrote it correctly as seasoned salt instead of seasoning salt. Ma’am, I don’t know who you are but you are NOT a citizen of Wakanda.

Yes!

It just adds that je ne sais quoi to it

it will turn any bland food into a chef made extravaganza

My favorites. I know they are loaded with MSG but I cannot help it - it's hard to replicate these flavors. I try to counteract with low fat and plant-based dishes LOL.

Listed in order of preference. Obviously cheaper in store but look around online for better pricing.

(I don't eat pork but this is good for beans - especially Louisiana Creole style red beans and rice)

I love Adobo had my friend in the US send me some as I haven't seen it in the UK. I also like tropical sun and Dunns river (I'm jamaican background so always use west Indian seasoning as well.

If you have the ingredients already in your spice cabinet to make Adobo then skip buying store bought Adobo and use those spices....you cut down on the salt that way.

I prefer fresh herbs and using other dried spices over salt laden all-purpose seasonings unless I'm making something such as Gumbo, Seafood or something that uniquely calls for a specific seasoning.
