I just turned 30 last month and am actually at my highest weight ever.I know the older you get the harder it is to lose weight. I've been trying to lose 20lbs for almost 20 yrs. I feel like if this doesn't work I don't think I'll ever lose the weight.

Anyone have good results with WW?

What is your height and starting weight right now if you don't mind me asking?

I had good results a few years ago. I think that having the zero point foods made it so much more easier! I only paid to have access to the app. However, I heard that the groups are beneficial. Best wishes to you!

my mom lost over 100 pounds with WW. her weight creeps back up if she stops using the program, but she's mostly maintained it. she just rejoins if she gains 15 pounds back.

I just count calories and keep a food diary. I prepare all my meals at home and bring small snacks when I'm out. I stay away from eating out.

I'm 5'1 as well and I know the struggle is definitely real for short women. You have to stay very conscious about your eating habits. 5 pounds looks like 10 pds on short women. It's a double edged sword. People notice when you gain 5 pds and they notice when you take it off.

An extra 7-10 pds will have me in a different dress size.

I maintained around 100-115 pds in my twenties until I hit my thirties then my weight went up just like you, around 140. When I hit age forty I turned things around and did all low carbs and got my weight back down to around 115 to 118 and maintained my weight for over 15 years.

Now in my very late forties pushing 50 I can't maintain at 118 anymore, because it affects my face. I've gained weight over the last 4 years and recently due to working from home and snacking I ballooned up to 149. You know I looked like a stuff sausage. I decided a month ago, enough is enough.

I've lost 10 pounds so far just counting calories and my goal weight is now 130 because I can't afford to go any lower without my face suffering. I need the extra 10 pounds at my age.

I would go with weight watchers, my friend lost a lot of weight with them several years back and maintains till this day. If possible giving up animal flesh and dairy would benefit you. I only eat fish (salmon, whiting, flounder). Staying away from animal flesh has reduced my stomach significantly.

I'm on WW and I'm on the purple and it does work with keeping me accountable. I also track my calories and I know when I've fµcked up.

My bestie is on the green plan and likes it! I think it works so well because it's calorie counting and portion control, but they do the counting for you. Let us know your results!

And if anyone wants to try WW but doesn't have money, I would suggest iTrackbites as it's free. They have a lot of the plans of WW, they just renamed them. This Youtuber went through all of plans and the names of them.

I personally stick to WW and I'm on the purple plan. I also like the Black women zoom meetings that they have and I just go to it for my weekly meeting.

I'm on the Blue Plan for Weight Watchers. Doing this program has convinced me that life does give back what you invest in it. When I track my meals, I see results immediately. It also helps build personal responsibility.

Can you share your exercise routine?

I just started today..I messed up since my plan was to start tomorrow however my gf started today so I started entering my food and I’m regretting having an iced mocha from Starbucks that was damn near half my points! I think tomorrow will be better since I have a grasp on the point system now. I workout a good amount with my peloton but I’m ready to lose weight. I wasn’t gaining but now with focusing on nutrition hopefully it works.

From the meetings pre-covid, the coach said to take it one day at a time. We have weeklies there for a reason and to think of each day as a new day to start over. And if you get hungry to eat from the zero point foods.

I'm down 16lbs. I'll be honest, I have been super inconsistent. Had I been consistent, I'd be at my goal weight right now. Because of several reasons this year I've been on and off but I've def picked up some good habits from WW. I'll probably start doing calorie counting once I drop 4 more lbs.
