Nobody knows what his dad looked like.
He could have been black, white or biracial.

He passed away, btw.

Regardless to his love of white women, he didn’t say anything wrong here. This word has yet to be reclaimed, and I don’t even bother wasting energy berating non blacks for using it* when we can’t seem to stop. As long as you don’t call ME that, whatever.

*Not to mention some of them get passes from actual black people

someone replied that he’s making sure he dips his foot in both to make sure he don’t touch no type of hell lmao

I agree. Glad to see more mainstream black people on board with this. Even when black people say the N word in real life 99% of the time it is speaking on something negative and not a term of endearment. The mass saying the N word really only started in the 70s and 80s and now people think we have been saying it forever.

If he doesn’t want to use it then he shouldn’t. If he doesn’t want to be referred to by that term, that is his right. But I wonder what triggered his response this time. He plays in the nba, there are tons of black men in the league and I guarantee it’s not the first time he’s been referred to as “N word.” I know for a fact KD uses n—-a on a regular basis. So I really wanna know what made him react so strongly this time around.
KD was saying the n word all through their insta lives, and Kyrie didn’t say a damn thing to him.

Ky is just special.

People will never stop using it. It’s a great filler word (lol). It’s never been a part of my vocabulary tho

I agree. It's so disgusting how the word is thrown around all over the world as some kind of joke because hip hop culture made it 'cool'.

I wish I could find a fµck to give. Alas, I cannot.

May an army of his fellow White woman loving, biracial kid having pro Black Hoteps come to his aid.

I agree. It's very ignorant and I'm tired of ignorant things and people being pushed to the forefront of Black culture.

Lol at Mr white girls only saying this. He has a right to feel this way, but he's only saying this to save face for showing his entire ass the other night when he got ejected from the game.

Also let me know when he keeps the same energy for his teammates or his bff KD, who uses it all the time.

Kyrie definitely has that right, but maybe Dennis doesn’t like someone in his face unnecessarily aggressive (the game wasn’t in play at that moment) sooo you can be disrespectful, but it crosses the line when the energy is returned?

Black ppl are not a monolith and shouldn't be policed about how to feel about that word. If they don't wanna use it or be called that, fine. If they do, also fine.

Kyrie's fake woke ass is the last person who should speak on this tho. Lbr he's only saying this now cuz he completely lost it and ran up on another player and then a referee. He's trying to justify why he did that when there is no excuse for that kinda behavior.

I agree with Kyrie. And maybe NBA should consider banning that word on the court.
I never bought that argument that it is a term endearment. I usually hear it expressed in a derogatory way.

I don’t like him, but I agree. I was raised never using the word and knowing the painful and disgusting origin, I’m not sure why some Black people think it’s ok to “reclaim” it. It will always be derogatory. There’s nothing empowering about using racial slurs. You don’t hear any other race reclaiming their slurs, so why do we do it? It’s not cute. Don’t call me that sh!t either.

I'm just here to read all the examples of how black folks don't except the growth of others. Just seeing how far back yall was gon reach to say Kyrie is the person who posted this or did that years ago. lol I guess black people's definition of Growth = People don't change nor learn to do or be better.

Kyrie was being aggressive towards Denis before he even said that word. Kyrie is embarrassed and looking for excuses to shift the conversation and skip work.

Kyrie is such a whiney ass child. This is the man that was in the company of the N word and using it freely up until last week lmao. Yeah, people are allowed to change, hell I was eating steaks 2 years ago, but this grown baby child takes vacations from games whenever he feels like it, contradicts himself, and is just an annoying ass hotep from all angles. I’d like to tell him to take a long walk along this flat Earth.

Yall either need to go outside or stop saying this. Every single race of people does this, doesn’t make it “right”, but this is a flat out lie.

Jewish people are not calling each other the K word. Latinos are not calling each other their racial slurs. Are these people calling each other the n word? Yes, but Arabs aren’t calling themselves “terrorists” and East Asians aren’t using their racial slurs with each other either. I do go outside, and have been surrounded by non-Black people my whole life. Not once have they called each other racial slurs...at least not in my presence.

That n word probably hits different hearing from an African raised by a white German man and in a German accent who doesn't share anything culture with you.

Sad that it took all that to self reflect on it.

I agree with him. That word will nrver be reclaimed. That's why they continue to use it against us. The word was meant to label us "below" them. I refuse ro partake in the disrespect my ancestors felt day in and day out being insulted in that way.

It's not like Dennis was dissing him based on race. A black person saying n.i66a please/what/ to another black person is nothing to make a big deal about. He was being an asshole who wanted to put Dennis in his place. Basically you can't say that word because you're not American.
And?

I don’t see it that way. There are many Americans who don’t like anyone to call them that word. The NAACP even tried to hold a burial for the word. Oprah begged Jay Z to stop using it.

Being the same skin color doesn’t mean you get to disrespect.

Not trying to badger you about it. I’m just surprised that people get angry when African Americans assert their personhood.

All good.
Exactly. White people have many words to disrespect us that differs all over the world. I wonder what racist whites called Blacks in Germany and if Dennis would be cool to be called that by Kyrie’s American ass.
