Do you know if when you are filling out an application, it ask you for your social security? Is it normal?
I am in the States and I don't think I've ever seen an application ask for a social security #. In my experience, I've been asked when time for background checks but not during the application process.

Interesting, thank you. I stop, immediately when I saw that. You see? Scammers. On indeed.

I Googled the woman and nothing came up. I also checked the website and it looks suspicious. She didn't capitalize Comcast in the email. This doesn't look legit to me. I'd stop replying
Thank you. Now, how to know which is legit and which is a scam? I wanted to send a juicy email to indeed for not protecting their users. I don't know where to contact them. I searched the site, couldn't find where I can directly message them.

I looked at their careers page and don’t see this position… or am I overlooking it?

where is the application link?

Original incog:

I think they have closed applications for the position since it's been open for 2 months or more already, and several people from my old company (GAP) are all leaving at the same time and applied to the same job.

They have a lot of other jobs though. Just scroll down on their home page and visit the Careers tab.

Have you looked her up on LinkedIn?
Someone here already did and she wasn't there. I'm so concerned now with this scams. I literally send so many resume on indeed.com. I'm very disgusted with them. Why not warn your users? I searching for contacts or an email from them. Yet to find it. Any lawyers here? Can I sue them? Lol

I click on the links thinking it was legit. Now, how do I know they hacked me? Dont kill me and judge me :( , I sent my ss and drivers license number to a company on January. I had an interview with them. They told me it was important to give them the information so, they can do a background check. ( I didn't get the job) I thought it was legit. Now, I realized the scams. They did not give me no clue about it. I know, I'm a dummy. But, I think the company I sent that information are legit. I searched. Even when they called me, the ID on my phone say it was them. What you guys think? I learned my lesson. :(

I've had to give my SS number to jobs on the applications including my current job. I also had to include my driver's license. It's normal for jobs to ask for it.

That is a valid concern.
For future I would always look the company/person up on LinkedIn to ensure its validity. I would also recommend putting a freeze on your social security numbers with each one of the credit bureaus and chexsystem or if you have the funds to sign up to one of those social security monitoring sites like Lifelock.

People are moving real funny now these days. Im sorry this has happen to you.

Scammers on indeed have been rampant since Covid started because they knew people are yearning for remote work now. It got so bad to point where I stopped using Indeed.

Has anyone worked at Symphony Placements? I have an internet tomorrow. I decided to search the company (I honestly don't remember the job position, because I send so many that I don't remember this one) there's a lot of negative reviews about this company.

I don't have any leads but I have been seeing a lot of Learning and Development job postings on LinkedIn. I'm not sure what she's trying to do but that might interest her. Reddit also can be a good resource for tips.

I realized I'm not good at customer service representatives jobs. I have a job, remote. I thought I could do it but, when I took calls by myself? I was, what is this? I need a no phone remote job.

I will try to hang in there until I find a non-phone job. Does any of you have a recommendation?

Thank you

y'all Progressive insurance is looking for customer care representatives (remote position). pay is $16.85-19.65 an hour depending on experience. not the best but something to help out if you're really in need of some income. training starts in august.

I applied yesterday and already heard back today to move onto the next step. just wanted to pay it forward since someone told me about this opening and I figured I'd share with you ladies as well! :)

if that link doesn't work for some reason, just go to Progressive.com and go to the career section and in the search bar type "customer care" and a bunch should come up. it has different cities/states as the "primary location", but they're remote positions so you don't have to be in the same state

  • are able to organize student work in an order that represents a range of score points
  • write short annotations of the scoring rationale
  • are familiar with Microsoft Office and possess basic computer skills
  • are able to work independently from the comfort of their home, with appropriate remote support
Flexible hours including evenings are available in this seasonal position. Paid training will be provided for successful applicants.

Anyone ever actually gotten any remote jobs? I have been trying for a long time and I just get rejected or don't hear anything back. I am now trying to start a micro school out of my home because I want to be able to provide my son and other children like him, an individualized education.
