The current server can't handle the traffic during peak hours ( 5 - 11 p.m.). To lessen the load on the server some modifications had to be disabled:

Alleybux
LSA Mart

Two servers have been ordered to replace the current server and should be delivered Monday. One server will be dedicated to just the database and one server will serve files for the website. The servers will be connected to each other using a 1GB switch. The webserver configuration will change from Apache to Nginx.

This new configuration will require a couple of days of testing. Once the kinks are worked out the current LSA will be moved to the new servers.

The forum will be turned off when the site is ready to be migrated to the new servers. Once you can view the site again, you will be viewing it on the new server. I expect this migration to take place at 12 a.m. on either Thursday or Friday.

The upgrade to 4.0

The following modifications will not work with Vbulletin 4.0:

Confessions
Groans
Private forums for the groups
LSA Mart

Replacement mods for the thanks/groans and LSA Mart have been found. If you would like to see them in action you can do so at xesalley.com.

The developer who fixed the anonymous posting mod will attempt to fix the Confessions and Private forums.

A new theme for LSA is being developed also since all of the current themes are incompatible with VB 4.0.

All of the changes will be tested on a development copy of LSA so that when we are ready to upgrade, any issue with the mods on the site will have been resolved.

There are numerous database changes in VB 4.0 and because of the size of the LSA database, the upgrade will probably take at least one day. The forum will be closed at that time. When you can view the forum again, you will be viewing the new version of Vbulletin.

The upgrade will take place in 3 - 4 weeks if all of the issues with the mods can be resolved by the developers I hired.
