SPANISH LAKE, Mo. — A man admitted to killing a xes worker's boyfriend over $60 in a hotel room, according to St. Louis County Police.
Eric Moore Jr., 26, is facing charges of second-degree murder, robbery and armed criminal action.
According to court documents, Moore arranged via text message to meet up with a xes worker at the Budget Inn at 1405 Dunn Road Saturday morning. After the encounter, Moore ‘was upset over the lack of time that he was being given with the prostitute and demanded money back,’ according to the probable cause statement. Moore had paid $60 for a xes act, police said.
Moore was in a hotel room with three women while demanding his money back, and then, he pulled out a gun, police said. The xes worker gave the money back.
The women were screaming in the hotel room during the incident, police said, which alerted the boyfriend of one of the women, who was in a room next door. That man came into the room and was shot several times by Moore, police said. He died at the hotel and was identified Sunday as Darren Woods.
Moore ran off and was later found at a home he shared with his mom, police said. He admitted to the crime during an interview with investigators, St. Louis County police reported.
Moore is being held on a $300,000 bond.
