This Is Us star Mandy Moore takes cameras on a tour of her lavish $2.6million four-bedroom Pasadena home, complete with custom-made furniture, floor-to-ceiling windows, panoramic views, and a pool
The 34-year-old's stunning vision and work paid off as she unveiled her pristine home in the July/August issue of Architectural Digest.
As part of the unveiling, the magazine also released an episode of Open Door where Mandy took the cameras around her home and explained some of her most favorite parts of the Pasadena, California, place.
The four-bedroom house, she explained, was built in 1950 by an architect named Harold Zook and sits on 1.45 acres of land in Pasadena overlooking the sweeping views of the San Gabriel mountains and valley.
'This house signifies the next chapter of my life — as an adult, a woman, and a performer,' Mandy said during the interview for the magazine.
'I was able to pour all of who I am into making this place.'
Metals are an accent color within the home after an original brass hood and bricks from the 1950s design inspired the renovation.
'There's sort of fun little play on copper and brass and metals throughout the house,' Mandy said during the video.
One prominent feature in the first room is a baby grand piano because of both Mandy and her fiance Taylor, who is a musician, share a love for music.
The actress then guided cameras into the dining room, which features a gorgeous wood table and brass bar cart (a Christmas gift from the fiance), where she explained how the couple tired to keep the design relatively informal.
'Nothing about this house feels too formal,' Mandy said. 'I love that everything still feels so open. There's not a ton of separation between sort of main living areas.'
The former pop princess raved about the people who helped make her vision come to life when re-designing the home.
'Sarah Sherman Samuel, who's the most incredibly talented designer, helped with the entire home,' Mandy explained. This included informing Mandy about specific artists who had pieces that would fit in with the overall renovation.
'The house is pretty simple, but I like that it has certain pops of character,' the actress said when describing one art piece that is featured on the main wall of the dining room.
Architect Emily Farnum also helped renovate the home and was an essential guide when figuring out the best way to re-design the kitchen, Mandy said.
During the renovation, a large island was placed in the middle of the room and features a 'waterfall design' where the stone continues all the way down to the floor. Another feature is open, white shelves to display blush-colored dishware.
The kitchen then flows into the family room which, like most rooms in the home, include floor-to-ceiling glass walls so guests can experience a 360 degree view of the Pasadena area.
