“While a stay at Windsor would allow the Queen to spend time with her grandchildren from the former working royals, it is said to be an "emotional blackmail" from the Sussex Royals.”

They are her great-grandchildren. She’s 95, has ~10 other great grandchildren, and a number of children and grandchildren she sees regularly. I don’t think she’s distraught over not seeing the Sussexes.
She might be more distraught if their parents weren't such nasty pieces of work. Each great-grandchild is special.

I empathize that many are unhappy with the decision regarding Camilla's future role, and the feeling that Charles may potentially be a weak monarch. Unlike the BRF, we commenters are blessed with anonymity. Unlike the Sussexes, we are not seeking celebrity. To all who support or reject the cause of Diana, she has shuffled off this mortal coil, and is beyond the appreciation or power of public sentiment. It is clear to me that Charles will forever be a haunted man: by the death of Mountbatten, the death of Diana, the death of his father, and anticipating the death of his mother. I feel 25 years later we need to let Diana rest, and it may be easier to do if we accept (while forgiving) whatever any one in this triad did or didn't do......many years ago. The Sussexes give us plenty to parse in the here and now.

Seems as though the bloom is off the Harkle rose in Montecito circles. Mentions of the Harkles in their local magazine The Montecito Journal take a much less flattering tone than when they first arrived:

Prince Harry is facing new humiliation from Buckingham Palace as officials are mulling ways to remove another one of his significant roles.

The Duke of Sussex, 37, is set to lose his status as a Counsellor of State on top of the other titles and military ranks he has had to forego after stepping down as a working royal with his former actress wife, Meghan Markle.
..

Prince Charles’ youngest son, along with his scandal-plagued uncle Prince Andrew, 61, have been stripped of their royal patronages and military titles amid the Duke of York’s ongoing legal woes and Harry’s decision to quit the Royal Family.

Carving out a new image, Just harry is quite the trendsetter.

Let us talk about how emotional alienation by Charles and his concubine Camilla lead to young woman who had serious insecurity issues into all the worst excesses.

It all starts with Charles and Camilla.

A divorced woman with a living husband who couldn't even get married in the church is now to be crowned at Westminster?

Naah.

I hope Harry screws Charles royally to the point where he's unable to rule. William stands in the wings.
If Harry would do that, he would also be harming the institution of the monarchy and HMTQ, who Harry continues to say he loves.

I understand that you have no love for Charles, but if Harry went scorched earth on Charles, by extension he harms his brother.

I cannot imagine how difficult it was for William and Harry to deal with their parents' unhappiness, betrayals of each other (yes, Charles bears more responsibility initially, but Diana had lovers as well), and how that played out publicly. Somehow, as teenagers and then adults both William and Harry have had to figure out how to have a relationship with their father and stepmother.

Apparently William and Catherine have a good relationship, as evidenced by Camilla helping Catherine adjust to becoming a member of the BRF, and the recent invitation to Catherine by PC to attend the event at one of his programs.

If Harry does go for the jugular , in the end he will become even more despised than the Duke of Windsor.JMHO. not a good look

As for the Harkle's future in America...Even if you don't like Tucker (I don't) he's got millions of viewers. Will "brain-dead" Harry catch on?

Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle have been branded as 'grifters' by US talk show host Tucker Carlson.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have also been slammed as 'pathetic' and 'irrelevant' by a retired judge, with a former presidential aide telling Harry that 'nobody cares' what he thinks in America.

The criticism comes amid speculation the couple may ditch their $25 million Spotify deal after they hit out at 'Covid misinformation' which was 'being spread' by fellow podcaster Joe Rogan.

As rumours continue to circulate about their future with Spotify, Fox News talk show host Tucker Carlson hit out at the Royal couple as he called Prince Harry 'brain-dead'.

The furious host blasted: "That annoying fake duchess from LA and her brain-dead husband threatened to walk unless Spotify muzzled Joe Rogan. But they’re not going anywhere...

I'm still waiting for the Markles to sue Tucker Carlson.he has been this harsh critic of them since that O interview..lol

Harry’s hair color is now on the blonde side with a red beard? While baby Archie has blazing red hair. Just saying….

It's very easy to do it:

And we all remember the dark red they both had on the Christmas card!

Next up, she needs to change the rules about who can inherit the prince and princess titles.

YES!

There seem to be new royal events to look out for, Catherine and her collab with CBeebies, and a State Reception on March 2. HMTQ also said she "hopes" to attend Prince Philip Memorial Service on March 29 :( the word usage makes me think if she is worried that she will pass away before the service.

The Diplomatic Reception will be held at Windsor Castle on March 2. On March 14 at Westminster Abbey the Commonwealth Day service will be held. And Prince Philip’s memorial service also at the abbey will take place on March 29.

JMHO, but Harry and Meghan are all about themselves and what they want and I doubt that they give a rat's ass about who they hurt.

Camilla is a good person who has more than done her penance for her part in the whole Diana fiasco. If Harry targets her I'm not sure how it can be viewed as anything other than petulant abuse at this point.

PC gets forever with his true love or he gets the throne.I hope he never gets the chance to rule....maybe there's a reason (karmic) he's been the longest waiting heir in history.

As for Harry....I honestly don't care if what he says will be true or not but saying that Charles puts Camilla before his own children will ring true.

I hope he stays away from the woke talk and goes for the jugular. William stays quiet and benefits because we know they haven't gotten along historically.
I hate how people had misuse the term “Woke”. I wish people research what being woke really is before they criticize it. Woke was a term used exclusively by black folks for years.

“The phrase stay woke had emerged in AAVE by the 1930s, in some contexts referring to an awareness of the social and political issues affecting African Americans. ... In turn, some commentators came to consider it an offensive term with negative associations to those who promote political ideas involving identity and race.”

I guess when you use the term Woke this is what you have in mind. Before you used a term make you sure know the origin of it before you say it.

There’s your Black History Month info for today.

The thing is tho, the people who love and deity Diana are dying away or subcoming to the effects of time/reality and health on their memory. His Diana's woeful privileged wronged orphaned son shtick will not carry him into the next 5 or so years.

Gen z, Gen x and millenniums don't care enough about Diana as a whole person to be so invested to the ghost of her parts.
We have our own problems to deal with.
Take a hard look around. All 3 groups I mentioned has lost someone, or will lose someone extremely close to them family or friend wise as their boomers parents/grandparents also die within the next 1 to 20 years and we are all faced with the task of navigating the high and pitfalls of life in this brave new world.

Gen Z here. I have to agree with this. I don't really care here or there. She was before my time so I'm not really that invested in her. I think the people that are mostly interested in (and enamored with) her are the ones that were around during her time (like Migraine). No one likes a mistress though, so Camilla won't be getting all that much love from this generation either.

Mine too plus would of instead of would have, could of instead of could have, using borrow instead of lend etc. English is not my first language but I was taught to use simple English words properly.
Now back to the Harkles…
and less instead of few!

They have definitively NOT accepted this change. They are furious beyond belief!!! This will cost them millions of dollars. They have sunk a lot of money into two-word branding, websites, trademarks, logos, etc. They are asking their attorneys if they have legal standing to fight. The word [redacted] is already being used on towels, on liquor, and on soda brands! They think they should be able to use the word the way they want to.
So, they asked their attorneys "if they have legal standing to fight". It didn't occur to them to ask their attorneys BEFORE they sank money into branding, websites etc whether there may be a problem down the road? No, of course they didn't. They just ASSUMED they'd be able to slap the Sussex Royal name on anything they chose. They also assumed they'd make millions of dollars marketing the name, they assumed Hollywood would welcome them with open arms, they assumed people would feel sorry for them and side with them after the Oprah interview.... A lot of assumptions from these two.

Next up, she needs to change the rules about who can inherit the prince and princess titles.

Harry has a Prince title but his kids do not need to be known as prince and princess.

The same for Louis's children and Charlotte's children (a dukedom could be offered to her husband) when those two grow up and should they have families of their own.

The Prince and Prince titles would pass from George to his kids but only his heir should be able to pass the prince and princess titles to the following generation and so on.

I hope the Queen changes it before she passes on.
I can’t imagine the people of the UK want 2 American kids who will spend little to no time in the UK, to be able to call themselves HRH Prince/Princess of the UK.

Did he get a nose job too? His nose hangs over his mustache in all the older photos but it is not doing the same thing in the new and improved photo with smooth forehead and non crinkled eyes and ,neat and trim beard.
His nose does look different.

Stan culture is insane . As many fonts have said before, the monarchy isn’t a popularity contest, PC will be king.

If you and others cannot appreciate that the British Monarchy will be in a very tenuous position after their 70 year long Monarch passes, I don't know what to say.

Like @KrumpedKreme mentioned, once HMTQ passes, various countries, particularly Caribbean countries, will begin to remove themselves and in all honesty, it's for good reason.

The UK is on the precipe of an economic freefall where many cannot afford to pay for heating/housing/food. The optics and perceived usefulness of a Monarchy will of course be called into question, especially under Charles and it isn't just because of Diana. Charles has committed many of misstep and strength and ability to relate to the challenges faced by the UK are not among the qualities you will find. He's shown time and time again that he's completely out of touch with the reality of the people and that's not going to cut it in 2022.

In the context of this thread, I think we can all acknowledge now that while HMTQ was surely consulted, the handling of this situation with H & M has fallen on Charles and while I've seen the common refrain of "Queen knows best" & "she's playing the long game", it's obvious they've been caught flat footed and hoped that things would just blow over. The handling of the ANL case was the greatest example where Jason was essentially discouraged/prevented from participating in the case until it was too late and the optics of same were awful. Like Harry Markle has stated, it was obvious the family were aware that M was awful to staff, but no action was taken. They were also aware that M was feeding bs stories via Jason for the FF book and again took no action. H has continued to embarrass and bring shame to the family, but they again take no action and with what he has cooked up in his book? That too will likely bring serious harm.

Like it or not, the optics vis-a-vis the Monarchy is that conduct DOES matter and holding a title IS a privilege, especially if you are about to be King. History has shown time and time again that a bad and weak King can and will be removed and giving the current constitutional irrelevance, he will be unable to wield the power of his predecessors.

This is 2022. You are not going to be able to manipulate the media or otherwise take advantage of an uneducated public and simply hope that things will blow over using photo ops or some silly appearances that cost $$$. The public from 18-45 are not remotely as pro Monarchy as their elders and they have or will have major questions as to the utility of a Monarchy, especially with Charles at the helm.

I appreciate this thread and pro Monarchy twitter completely disagree, but I fear there is a lack of objectivity and great deal of sticking heads in the sand. When HMTQ passes, the world will never be the same and if economic conditions remain the same or even worsen in the UK, change will come and it will begin with a govt that has Republic sensibilities.

True. The monarchy is an ancient, relentless institution and concepts like popularity don't register. Along with all the impressive rulers, it has survived bad kings, stupid kings and unpopular kings (and Queens).

I acknowledge that the times are challenging, with republicanism and extreme strains of socialism in the air. However, the Crown has faced bigger crises in its time and always had the uncanny ability to be as adaptable and ruthless as it needed to be to survive. Despite all the noise in the popular press, the Harkles are not a significant factor, but merely an annoying blip on the radar of history.

I don't necessarily think Charles will be a strong king but he may surprise everyone, especially by having his level-headed heir as an astute advisor.

Charles does have strong genes from both of his parents; though he doesn't seem as healthy as they were at his age, he still may have inherited them and be the proverbial creaking gate hanging on for decades. Or he may end up like Edward VII, reigning as an interim monarch (9 years). People at the time had their doubts about Queen Victoria's black sheep son stepping into her shoes but he proved to be adequate in his role as King.

The Queen may very well have grown fond of Camilla over the years but I think the motivation for her support is to keep to Royal tradition as much as possible. A married King without a Queen is unnecessarily awkward and distracting, almost like a punitive judgement against the new King. Camilla has kept her head down and taken on her role responsibly. No need for drama and tittle-tattle in opening a new page in the story of the British monarchy.
Speaking as someone with no dog in this fight, adultery is no longer a punishable offense. And only should be nobody's business but between the spouses. Honestly, how much did Diane love her boys if she was willing to air her dirty laundry in public, knowing her teen boys and all their friends were going to see it. No doubt it must have sucked if everything about how she was duped and Charles ain't sh!t are all true, AS A MOTHER, did she need to do what she did with that interview, even if she was misled by Bashir and BBC. That's how I felt when that first happened and it's how I feel now. Some of the 6s damage, and his genetic pain, I mean that finger might point to her a little bit too. I'm also in the camp who is no fan of Chuck's. But come the fµck on. Fair is fair. Diana didn't stay 19 till she died. She was a grown woman who made the decisions she made. At some point, everybody needs to move the fµck on.

Peg just can't let go of Windsor Castle, lolz

That's our Meg! LMAO. Only the very best for her. A castle fit for a Kween.

Again. She doesn't want to go back and Harry does. She is going to squirm, twist, and turn. But she ain't going back unless she truly have to (as in running away from her money issues or worse).

He weakens Charles so he's unable to take the crown. I want Harry to go scorched earth.
This is why I think a deal has been made between the Queen and Charles. The Queen choosing to publicly endorse Queen Consort for Camilla during her jubilee statement, no doubt,

It was a surprise to me, wasn't expecting it at all, especially on her Platinum Jubilee message. Camilla IS tough, she was once hated more than convicted murderers lol. Meghan thinks she had it rough with the media? She should speak to Camilla, she was crucified in the press. I used to see the nervousness on her face after Diana died. It's as if she expected a member of the public to hit her, I think something was thrown at her once if I remember correctly but she NEVER moaned or complained. She took her beating like a woman.
Harry and Meghan don't know how to play the long game, did they issue anything yet?
Agreed - that's why it was done now - get the outrage out of the way and move on to the main celebrations.

Yes it has opened up Diana's flaws to many people who now have perspective that they didn't have at the time she died - things were very emotional then. But hindsight many can now see that there were flaws on both sides and one one is a Saint- even Diana.

She is still recognised as a good person and an icon - but nit as saintly as she was as more sides to her personality are now being understood or accepted.
Yeah, that's what I was feeling the sentiment as, and yes, things were very emotional when she passed.

If adultery were a reason to disqualify a monarch, the monarchy would have been abolished centuries ago.
The people know that family is messy as hell and they are still kept after all these hundreds of years and many dark scandals later. One of my favirote quotes by a Dutch MP during a debate about the royal family is this:
"My ladies and gentlemen, we are discussing the royal family, not the Holy Family"

If you and others cannot appreciate that the British Monarchy will be in a very tenuous position after their 70 year long Monarch passes, I don't know what to say.

I dont know about the other commonwealths, but It think the UK willl keep the royal family a little longer. Time and time again people have said its the end of the Monarchy when a king/queen passes. Courtiers would write their fears in ther journals about this , yet it still keeps ticking on. When The Queen's uncle abdicated I'm sure people thought it was the end of the monarchy especially considering there was no heir, but the monarchy lived on, The Queen only became heirs persumative at age 10 or something.

Trust me....Jamaica and others are just waiting on The Queen to go.

But honestly.....I detest Charles and Camilla and for once I'm backing Harry. I hope he does damage to Charles because unless the crown goes straight to William the monarchy is screwed.

The relative silence from KP hasn't been unnoticed in this Camilla kerfuffle.

If Wallis couldn't be queen neither should Camilla. The one good thing Harry may do is destroy his father....who I detest. Sorry, Charles and Camilla are a disgusting pair who mentally tortured a young woman (girl). Karma is needed.
A friend of text me yesterday when the Queen‘s statement went out. He’s livid about “the mistress to become Queen consort”. He’s dying on the hill of the Queen outliving Charles.

My husband too, and I doubt he can even name Charles's kids or their spouses.

If everyone has now had their say regarding Diana/Charles/Camilla, may I respectfully request that we turn our thoughts and posts back to the Harkles, please…

Before we derail our own thread?

Thank you.

You know, rereading that item especially their "It is agreed" announcement is mind-blowing. They expected to keep their Royal Patronages, Security (based on Ginge's birth and military service and Whinge's "independent profile") and Private Funding. The delusion jumps out at the reader. It's really incredible.

And Diana harassing another young wife because she wanted her man.

Isn't that emotional manipulation and forced alienation of affection as well.

Oh yes Diana gets a pass because she was "young" or is it because she landed on the trifecta of being blonde/blue eyed and conventionally pretty.

I am no Camilla Stan. Nor do I hate Diana. I see tye forest for the trees in both situation. But knowing what was allegedly done to her. A normal person would not do the same to someone else.
That's like a woman who was allegedly xesually trafficked as a young girl, turning around and allegedly xesually trafficking young girls. Yet crying foul over what was done to her. While taking no accountability or showing remorse over what she did to others. (Any similarities in my last statement to any other outliers in the BRf/ Harry and megan "love story" and their personal troubles is pure coincidence)

There goes that pesky moral compass again and lack of compassion that has manifested so biliously in their vile beyond repair second child.

U cannot pray that Harry digs a hole for Charles without the danger of William falling in. Which is exactly what he is doing or trying to do.

I will not argue thus with u qny further as u have planted ur flag and kudos to you, as one must take a strong stance on their beliefsand opinions in life or they will forever waiver and fall for anything and any cocktail and bull story like dear criminally stupid deluded harry.

As far as I'm concerned this conversation is over and I don't hold it against you as I do so enjoy our Willy obsession
Had Diana done any of it if Charles wasn’t in love with Camilla…when they married?

Thats very reasonable and logical argument.

But what is not anticipated is the quality of courtiers nevermine the royal themselves. Yes, the monarchy had hold its own to changing times and mores for hundred of years but they had always been held by strong, loyal and astute advisors to the crown. It not just the monarchy but also politicians. There is a dirt of good quality, upstanding people to lead. and thats true not just in uk but all over the world.

The current crop of royals doesnt listen to advice and too selfish to listen. they carry on as if the world hasnt changed and think the people would just put up with it. much as i respected HMs work, she is blind were her family is concerned and is not above manipulating things to help her family. Her non partisan stand of family and crown is diluted! we have the burrell fiasco and i thought that would never be replicated but noooooo.... we have Mrs Dollar shouting to the rooftops of her righteous winning. with the judge of the land declaring, her lies are just simple lapses of memory. HM allowed, the law of the land to be made a mockery of!

HM also allowed chuckie and andy pandy alliance to pushed Lord Geidt out. From the outset Lord Geidt opposes to a separate houses/court. And my god how he is proven to be right. With chuckies court, competing with BP to the detriment of minor royals. And now, it comes to bite chuckie's ass as he cannot stop Prince William to establish his own court as he had set an example. Its probably why prince dumbo is so bitter, as prince william was allowed to have his own court but him the irrelevant royal was not allowed to have his own court

When princess diana died, it could have turn ugly. the mood of the populace then was really palpable anger towards the monarchy. but it was averted by HM u-turn on her stand. Though her (HM) intentions was good and I quite agree with her, the fact remains, she is the head of the monarchy/state and the boys well being becomes collateral damage of an ugly situation of unfortunate event.

Then, the brf have astute courtier, who stand up strong instead of bowing to the brfs ostrich attitude to family problems. HM at the last minute, listened to wise counsel and averted potential damage to the crown. Now, noone in the court will stand up to the royals stupidity! ELF, couldnt be bothered and bugger off. Probably, had enough baby sitting dumbo as well as putting up with Mrs Dollar high handedness and pretentions.

so no, im not confident of a king charles court with a queen cammy. The duo had made mockery of what is decent., yes, it happened a long time ago and princess diana herself is no angel. Unfortunately for the brf, they are supposedly the bearer of the nations conscience and standard. The monarch is the head of the church!

So we will have a spectacle of a future adulterous king chuckie with his mistress queen cammy who treated his young wife abominably, piously leading the church (of all faith)

Yeah........... that would really made me vow his stupid ASS!!!

If everyone has now had their say regarding Diana/Charles/Camilla, may I respectfully request that we turn our thoughts and posts back to the Harkles, please…

Before we derail our own thread?

Thank you.
It is very relevant since the 6s continues to put his mom on a pedestal and, if rumors are true, about to slag his dad and stepmother in his upcoming book. He talked about genetic pain. I want to gently remind everyone that his mom also played her part in it. And for Mrs. 6 to continue to cosplay her dead mother-in-law ignores the messy in that white lady. She dead now, so it's distasteful to talk bad about her, but let's be objective and look at the real person if the 6s won't keep her out of their mouths.

Actually, mistresses were tolerated and even encouraged.
In times past, the best position to have at court was the Mistress. Most people recognise the names of Louis XIV's and Louis XV's mistresses but not their respective Queens. The Queen was the brood mare, the Mistress got to have fun and was a greater influence at court.

Well the Church of England was started by Henry the VIII all because he couldn't get a divorce from his wife in the Catholic church so that he could marry his mistress, one Ann Bolyn, so......

Meghan Markle Heartbreak: Spotify Allegedly 'Regrets' Closing Deal With Sussexes

Sounds like they conned ya

Why are they given so much leeway? Is it because he is royal? Yep! Dont be afraid to take legal action spotify, at this point you baiscally gave them money for free. At this point if ya dont take legal action you deserve to be ghosted by the annoying duo

The annoying duo does not like being told what to do, though they are certainly in a corner they cant afford to break contract either
What’s really going on between the Harkles and Spotify? Spotify has to have other people signed up that’s not putting out a flow of content. There’s no chatter about it.

There must be some BTS drama more than just Spotify hiring staff for them. Now I am wondering just how much they‘ve gotten paid upfront or advanced. Not $18mm but maybe sone sort of out of the box arrangement. Did Spotify give upfront money for production and the Harkles spent it on security and cosmetic surgery? What’s really going on?

A friend of text me yesterday when the Queen‘s statement went out. He’s livid about “the mistress to become Queen consort”. He’s dying on the hill of the Queen outliving Charles.
Hmm not to be disrespectful but Diana wasnt exactly Charles's first choice to begin with either in context Diana may have married and become his wife but in charles heart she was the misstress.

note: i dont exactly care for old cams ,but I see things for what they are.. Either way she could go by Princess Consort, but she would legally be Queen consort just like she is technically Princess of Wales but doest use that title
