I love Say Say Say and that video is cute but I always felt weird that the main girl was LaToya.
I guess no other video girls were available that day? :nah:

How is Say Say Say Michael's biggest hit when technically it isn't even his song? It's someone else's hit with him featured on it. It's like me saying Crazy in Love was Jay-Z's biggest hit when it was Beyonce's song with him featured on it.

I love the song and video, but just because it did well on the charts does not mean it's one of MJ's best or biggest. Most people don't even mention that song when asked what their fave MJ song is.

I still love it though.

Not really. Jay just had a verse in "Crazy In Love" whereas MJ sang alongside Paul the entire time. MJ also co-wrote the song with Paul. "Say Say Say" is a duet. It's no more a Paul McCartney song than it is an MJ one. They both have equal parts in the song.

Billboard is only saying this is his biggest hit because it stayed in the top ten longer than Billie Jean. Even though Billie Jean was #1 for longer than this sh!t ass record!

Billboard have always had a conspiracy against MJ, and this isn’t the first time they have tried to undermine him. Now they're trying to say his biggest hit was a song that wasn’t even his most well known that he did with THIER icon Paul Macca. They fµck!ng suck ass.. I like to know which MJ song sold the most and i guarantee you it wont be SAY SAY fµck!ng SAY... SUCH bµllsh!t

lol I was thinking the same thing.
They did the same thing with thriller 25 and came up with some lame excuse as to why they didnt chart it although it was doing better than alot of the other artists.

Get this, and get it good, Michael jackson has sold more albums than the Beatles and Elvis

Here's the souce, though I can't be sure. According to Wikipedia Michael sold 700 mil......while the Beatles sold 1 bil(a.k.a 600 mil) I'm not trying to offend beatles or Elvis fan's, this is just Wikipedia's theory.

Beatles fans will never believe that! But i know its true.

The beatles arent as popular as MJ is in India and china (the most populated nations on EARTH). And most indian dont even know who Elvis is!! (i should know im indian).. But these people will never let America beleive that MJ sold more than Elvis n the beatles.

Billboard just wants to give Paul McCartney some shine. They don't want Michael to have nothing on his own. I love Paul McCartney, but Billboard can get rocks on that one.

Exactly. They always try to push either the Beatles or Elvis as better than MJ. The irony of that is, Mike owned BOTH of them! That alone proves who is the best to me.

I don't understand. How is 1billion more than 700million?

I believe that the Beatles have sold more than Mike. The Beatles were selling millions of records from the 60s and so they had few years of platinum sales ahead of Mike too.
No shade on MJ though because he was a solo artist why they the Beatles are a group but I don't think it is right or necessary to put down another successful group to elevate MJ.

Hmmm. Why is Michael Jackson being compared to a rock band anyways? That's like me comparing Madonna to Destiny's Child. Now MJ and Elvis is more like it. To me MJ wins all day every day against Elvis because I never got his hype anways.

Eh, Never really cared about sales anyway. I just look at a talent of an artist and not his/her sales. Hits to me don't matter, because many songs that I like were not hits.

And Say,Say,Say is from Paul's [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pipes_of_Peace"]Pipes of Peace - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia@@AMEPARAM@@/wiki/File:Question_book-new.svg" class="image"><img alt="Question book-new.svg" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/9/99/Question_book-new.svg/50px-Question_book-new.svg.png"@@AMEPARAM@@en/thumb/9/99/Question_book-new.svg/50px-Question_book-new.svg.png[/ame] album the song just happens to feature Michael. So Technically "Billie Jean" is Michael's biggest hit.

How is Say Say Say Michael's biggest hit when technically it isn't even his song? It's someone else's hit with him featured on it. It's like me saying Crazy in Love was Jay-Z's biggest hit when it was Beyonce's song with him featured on it.
Yep you're right, they need to get it right. They need a fact checker on this one.

I believe MJ is the best selling artist of all time, IF they combined his solo record sells with the Jackson 5/Jacksons. But they don't. I think that was what the poster was referring to.

Billboard has a bias against pop music acts in general. They prefer rock acts, and will always find a way to put the rock act on top over the pop act. They did the same thing with Britney Spears and the Eagles.

I can believe Say Say Say was MJ's biggest single. It was of course in no way shape or form the biggest MJ hit in the US but remember this would be of all his hits on an international level.

I think sometimes Americans tend to forget that America is not the whole world (granted there's so much stuff here that's very easy to do). According to the figures it looks like MJ sold approximately 85% his albums 'elsewhere'.

Seeing how Sayx3 came out during the absolute peak of Michael's fame, it's more likely a Paul song got even bigger with MJ's involvement. Win-win for both men (hee hee).

Michael is being compared to his music peers across the industry not 'Rockbands'. Do you think Michael should only be compared to R&B music icons?
