1. There’s crime everywhere. (Even in MoCo and DC). Crime is spiking in Baltimore county and Howard county. The areas you’re looking into are predominantly white, middle class areas. Baltimore is not like what you see on The Wire. Unless you’re involved in crime, you won’t become a victim of it.

2. Those areas have restaurants and bars.

3. You can walk your dog at night. But be aware of your surroundings. Obviously, use common sense too. You can become a victim of crime at any time and any location.

4. Integrated? Yes. There’s no 1950s segregation. Lol
Is it diversified? No. Black people, the yts, the Hispanics, and ghetto yts tend to stay within their own areas.
#1 is a fcking lie

I know of at least two people who've moved to Baltimore and were murdered within a year

Baltimore is a racist crime ridden hell hole

Don't do it OP.

There's just absolutely nothing redeeming about Baltimore

If your husband is working in Towson and you don’t wanna be toooo bored, Towson is the perfect neighborhood to live in. They have the mall, numerous restaurants and bars, and the city is 20 minutes away, if that. Towson students aren’t that rowdy compared to Morgan students.

I lived in 20Lambourne before it basically became an unofficial extension of TU's dorms. When I say THE GHETTO. They were constantly partying. The hallways were a mess. I broke my lease after 8 months because it was unbearable. A year or so after that someone was murdered there.

Any advice...Don't. I'm from Baltimore(born & raised and would NEVER move back.
Move a Half hour away to Frederick, MD much nicer, less congested and better crime rate and schools.

If you were to move there, move to Baltimore County. I grew up in the county and crime was scarse, nice quiet neighborhoods.

I heard Frederick is still full of hicks.

Is that not true any more?

I've lived in Baltimore most of my adult life (I'm 50 and I've been a permanent Bmore resident since I was 22).

1. Are those areas safe from crime? No, but the rates aren't as high as in other areas in the city. They are mainly white, upper and lower-middle-class areas although Black people do live there too.

2. I am under the age of 30 and would like to live in an area with access to bars and restaurants. There are tons of bars and restaurants around the harbor

3. Am I safe to walk my dog in the morning and night? Sure, but just be aware of your surroundings and carry mace.

4. And, is the city pretty much integrated? Baltimore is predominantly Black.
