Not Dustin going hard and being combative against Assante for no reason! Speaking over him and picking apart his research. He would NEVER do that to Fran.
It’s so uncomfortable to listen to! He will straight talk over him and purposefully interrupt him… passive aggressive behavior. I don’t get it, this is supposed to be your friend. Why would your friend treat you like this? Makes me wonder….

Dustin makes my ass itch. I can’t wait for Asante to boss up. Out of the 3, he’s the only one that’s not a social climber.

It’s still so wild to me after that fran has never went to therapy?? It’s so wild considering her whole brand and basically her entire circle goes, even dustin.

Didn’t they once do an epi called like ‘The Therapy episode’ or something like that? Or was that The Read?

that's because it's expensive (w or w/o insurance) and as nice as a life these influencers seem to live, they can't go to a doctor w/o paying half their salary (good thing ny has a lot of affordable clinic options) even Hass has spoken on the money she's spent on healers/healing. Fran reads books and listens to her friends who have actually done the work, and made it a career.

Chile please! Fran's reason for not going to therapy has NOTHING to do with the cost. Before she left NY, her luxury apartment had an elevator that opened up to her place like the St. Patrick's from Power, the Friend Zone tours did well in every city and did you see how much her sold out wellness tours cost? She didn't go to therapy cause SHE'S not ready to deal with self reflection and family trauma...if Im not mistaken she so much as admitted this before which is one of the reasons I stopped believing the "Fran" hype and started paying attention to what's really going on with Franiqua! LOL!

Yes, some of these podcast folks are not rolling in dough like that but Ms. Mamas was able to pay off her student loans through her "work" and "brand deals". If she really wanted to go, she could have used discount code: TheRead and used Talk Space!

Remember when Fran would go to the homepage of Psychology Today in her way to the studio and try to break down complex psychological concepts?

Good times.

Twitter and people like Fran brought psychobabble to the hood. Gag is, she doesn’t truly believe in therapy or anything she claims to believe.

She can use code TFZ on talkspace.com tho?

Lol let’s be real Fran can definitely afford therapy c’mon. Fran is about her bag, we all know that. Also listening to your friends who went to therapy and going to therapy are two very different things.

I agree, she can afford therapy, or even get another Talkspace ad placement and use that.

Y’all remember when they had a guy name Jarell on the podcast as Fran’s guest? They were supposed to collab on a project but that went to the wayside. He mentioned a website to find low cost therapy and I’ve recommended to friends. It ranges between $30-$60 per session. Openpathcollective is the name.

She hasn’t been to therapy because she doesn’t want to.

Like someone said before, I think Fran should go somewhere upstate and out the way in NY, or just move back to ATL or somewhere not to far from LA, that way she can have be out of the hustle and bustle of living directly in the city but still be around people and be able to network or just have sh!t to do. As someone who lives in PNW, I can’t imagine going from NYC to Portland. There nothhhhing to do here. I know she wanted a lifestyle change but I can’t imagine going from being the mingle with my friends and grab drinks, watch a show everyday, go to a random concert or whatever at any moments notice and then moving to Oregon. I know she wanted a change but it’s boring as hell. And the Portland brand of white people is just… idk lmao. I think she’s a city girl at heart.

Either way though, i think it’s dope that she tried and I respect her for that if it doesn’t work out.

I remember that episode. I really liked it and was excited to hear more about it but then nothing. I had a hard time remembering the name so I could never go back to try and figure out which it was. It was so on brand for their “mental health, mental wellness, mental hygiene” that they initially promoted. It didn’t occur to me at first but I thought it was odd she didn’t promote it beyond that episode because that would be money. They’re not shy about promoting themselves.

I wonder what her hesitation is with therapy. I’m not mad that it isn’t for everyone. Perhaps she tried it and it wasn’t for her. But she’s got to be aware that there’s different modalities, especially now being friends with Crissle.

Thank you for bringing this back up. I’m actually a mental health professional and I’ve been looking for ways to make some future plans so l keep this bookmarked.

meaning they'd (she'd) rather use that money to keep up with the Jones's rather than pay for medical care that doesn't feel necessary.

She is still liking all his stuff on ig, whatever that could mean

I think Fran low key doesn’t believe in therapy for herself. I think she considers herself a “healer” which means she can heal the men in her life and herself without traditional therapy.

Like none of them talk about their experience with therapy and only once talked to an actual therapist on the show in 8 years.

TFZ is basically pop culture with a side of none sense and a dose of “self care.” Plus music, tech, and reality tv show.

They need to rebrand asap because it comes of as a lack of self awareness.

You’d be surprised at the amount of people that’s anti therapy. I have a friend that’s a behavior intervention therapist but doesn’t believe in therapy for herself. Personally, I believe everyone could benefit from a session or two. Therapy’s one of those things you don’t think you need until you’ve been it.

I think this is around when she and Crissle were talking about going back to school to be therapists. But Fran flaked out and Crissle went back by herself lol. I remember Fran saying on an episode that she paid off her student loans and didn’t wanna acquire more debt.

Outside of LSA few people would agree with me on this, but this friend group is mean.

They can’t take being disagreed with.

Fran…everyone was on your head because you sounded ridiculous about your neighbors. Get over yourself. No one cares that your from nyc. You’re in their area now. Stop making big deals about small and seemingly nice gestures. Gosh.

I agree 100%. It’s why I don’t like Jade either. Mean girl energy.

Totally agree that Fran needs to get over herself. No offense to New Yorkers but they are insufferable sometimes with the energy they bring to new cities and places. They're constantly comparing it to NYC as if it’s the blueprint. Like imagine moving to a new area and instead of taking in and accepting the ways there, you’re gonna complain bc it’s not how they do it back home. Go back to nyc then! It really is that simple

thank you! my main point is, they don't feel the need to spend the (large) amount of $$ on therapy cus they'd rather over analyze rmdrake memes!

Assante seems to be working at Mandiis studio! thats good for him, he seems friendly and we see he is overly accommodating

You know, Dustin gave a good analysis on Gizelle from RHOP. He says college is where she peaked and that's why she still behaves like a college mean girl. But he didn't realize he was reading himself because he acts the exact same way.

The difference is that it took him 36 years to reach the same peak that she reached at 18-19.

I get the same feeling. Like she's lonely and misses the NYC shenanigans w/ her crew. I give it another year, two tops, and she'll be back to NYC or move to L.A.

Fran misses the projects and the ghetto. That’s all that is. She misses hood ass ***** and ghetto ass b!tches and would rather be posted up in Mott Haven or Hunts Point getting her “Lisa’s Story” on. Fran doesn’t know how to function without being adjacent to the NYCHA life.

Like seriously if you were as morally astute as you believe yourself to be …you wouldn’t be on this website.

Get her ass together, child. I’m sorry to that font—I have no beef—but that was mother fµck!ng word.

sh!t. They must have just found out back in 2019.

now that being gay is cool for the culture and there's more support I guess he feels more comfortable but idk anyone who has been around Dustin that doesn't know he's gay lol he stays lurking for a man

CLOCK!!!

Dustin stays believing that he's serving butch trade realness...

I’ve seen both Dustin and Assante in person. Dustin was by far the more obviously effeminate of the two, at least in the times I saw them. To make matters worse, Assante was relaxed and easy going and was talking to a group of random listeners. Dustin on the other hand was trying extremely to hard to be “a man” if you get what I mean.

eh I have the same feelings when I'm away from NYC too I feel like white people are nosey as hell and passive aggressive. there's nothing wrong with minding your business.

White people in NYC are some of the nosiest and most passive aggressive white people you’ll ever meet so I don’t get it. Especially the ones who live below Harlem or in gentrified parts of BK and Qns.

Also, nobody in NYC minds their business. We’re just good at pretending like we are.

The other thing is, most of the people I encounter who live here and then complain after they move away are usually the ones who don’t have sh!t here, who can’t afford to live here and who have no prospects for anything better. It’s like the people who struggle the most in this city are conditioned to believe that this is actually a place for them and that their sh!tty ass living conditions are acceptable, i.e. Fran.

Only a New Yorker would try and argue somebody down that a family of 5 living in a 600 sq ft 2 bedroom apartment with rats in the wall, no AC, no controllable heat on the 6th floor of a building with no elevator isn’t struggling.

This is home, but if I couldn’t actually afford to live here on my income alone, I’d be hightailing it right tf on up out of here.

Fran really tried to shade Klarna type services and I was glad to hear Dustin say that those kinds of services are needed for people and that it’s kind of like a present day lay away except that u get the goods upfront.

I’m gonna be honest. Those services are extremely predatory and a lot of people are getting into trouble with them. The common deflection is to compare them to credit cards as if it’s a “best of two evils” situation, but no one with good credit and access to prime credit products would ever make such an argument in good faith.

...and if Dustin is defending it you can rest assured that it’s only because he has to use them. Otherwise he’d be on his high horse shaming the rest of y’all for using them.

And who is Assanté’s sugar daddy?? Or is he an escort? That building he moved to sounds very fancy....like not in the friendzone budget fancy

Old white men on the UES.

It’s not like she can’t afford to buy a house if she wanted.

How would we know this? Do we know this? If it took Dustin and Assante this long just to get apartments in the city what makes y’all think that Fran is doing any better?

Wasn’t she staying in one of those marked down COVID deal apartments before she left and bragging about it on the show every week? At least that’s how fonts in this thread made it sound.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that if Fran could truly afford to live in NYC or L.A. that one of two is where she would be.

Fran not being able to afford NYC or LA is not why she’s not in either of those places. I believe she tried LA and didn’t care for it. As someone who’s listened to every episode, Fran has quite the eggs nest. She has multiple streams of income from brand deals thru social media + ads on the podcasts, she’s had 3 podcasts (one partnered with HBO, with 5mil listeners) and another one coming soon, patreon, live show ticket sales, merch, her own retreat was usually sold out and very expensive and she sells essential oils with Has. She even mentioned some stocks and investments in the episodes with the budgetnista. She paid off all her debt a few years ago, is renting/has always rented and just recently bought herself a car so I can’t imagine her expenses being that much out of her means.

Frans old apartment literally had a private elevator up to her place. She hasn’t worked a 9 to 5 in over a decade and Assante and Dustin (?)just recently quit theirs within the past year or two. Assante had roommates for the longest and I think Dustin still might. Fran always had her own spot unless it was with a man.

No offense but that read like one of 3 things, or maybe all of the above; 1) A fan, 2) young, 3) naïve

That said, we’re in a 150+ page thread that—at this point—is dedicated to ripping apart Fran and Dustin’s lies and contradictions. You mentioned brand deals, etc. etc. but what does she have to show other than an Express commercial? She’s been on multiple podcasts, just like many of her friends and just like Dustin and Assante. Very few of them appear give the impression that they are “ballin’” based on the details that they willing broadcast to the world about their personal lives. I made an assumption, but this counter argument is laughable. You mentioned a podcast being sponsored by HBO (i’m assuming the Insecure one) as if that somehow suggests a certain pay scale. You mentioned stocks and investments but baby it’s 2022–almost everyone over the age of 25 has some form of stocks or investments thanks to Cryoto and all of the Fintech apps currently on the market. Unless you know what investments she’s holding, how much she’s holding and what her holdings are worth I would roll on down the hill if I were you. It’s not worth dying on. Stocks/investments DO NOT equal wealth or money and most people who are holding investments and stocks aren’t holding anything worth any value. You mentioning those retreats which were actually a scam with a limited amount of dates and you can do the math and get a rough idea of how much was made and probably split between the other 2 women who were actually doing all of the work while. All of these things have been discussed in this thread years ago, ad nauseum.

All you basically did was say, “...well Fran said she had xyz and 123 so it must be true...”

Actually, you did that thing that Fran does when she starts bragging about things of little to no substance because she expects her audience to not know the difference and run with what she says. The same way that she claims to be this enlightened, spiritual and holistic leader all the while bragging and boasting about her toxic ass, materialistic. Just because every now and then she retweets cliché ass quotes that can be found on a canvas print at TJ Maxx and occasionally mentions meditation the people who don’t know any better will eat it all up.

So Dustin only looks butch on photos

He looks exactly like he does in photos. Like an effeminate gay boy trying his best to prove that he’s a masculine, manly man who exhibits all of the most toxic and stereotypical masculine traits.

You know how you see those gay guys who are always mugged up, scowling, trying to look like tough and swagged up but the moment they let their guard down their wrist becomes limper than a paraplegic’s dick? That’s what he gave me.

Fran’s old apartment was in an elevator building (i.e. an apartment building with an elevator) OR Fran’s old apartment had a private elevator that came specifically to her apartment and no one else’s? The latter is a hard sell to a native New Yorker. Now if you’re saying that the building only had one unit per floor and thus each floor was the equivalent to an apartment then that’s believable but other than that it’s bull sh!t unless Fran’s unit was the only one in the building above ground level. Even in the more likely—and more believable—scenario the elevator is still public. Other people are still getting in it who aren’t coming to see her. It’s just they or they stop at her floor the elevator will open to her front door, or will be her front door.

Actually, I remember reading about her being excited about living in an elevator building (because most of the apartment buildings in New York don’t have elevators so it’s a big deal to people) but I don’t recall the private—just for Fran—elevator. Maybe another font can jog my memory. Even so, those types of apartments run for $6 and $7 million. You ARE NOT going to convince me that Fran can afford that outright when many her contemporaries can barely afford a regular walk up apartment relatively affordable parts of the city. I’m sensing smoke and mirrors.

Crissle and Fury have much, much larger platforms and endorsements than Fran could ever dream of and even they talked about the struggle of getting to a point where they could afford live on their own—IN HARLEM OF ALL PLACES (which is the hood and literally the most affordable area of Manhattan)—at their big ages, well into the middle of their New York City careers, but you expect me to believe Fran can just woo-sah her way into an apartment, which based on how to described it, would have rented for well over $10,000 a month even during the COVID Deal era which was roughly around the time fonts claim Fran was able to get into that apartment.

I’m still not convinced that if Fran could afford the lifestlyle she wants in New York or California that she wouldn’t be there. All of those things people in this thread constantly mention her bragging and/or complaining about in the PNW are things that would likely be out of her reach back in NYC or Cali. Otherwise, she would have probably already acquired those things while she was here, instead of being damn near 40 and bragging about moving out of a walk-up apartment. She could literally have almost the exact same lifestyle that she is living in Portland back in the suburbs of NYC. I think other fonts have mentioned that Westchester, Nassau and Suffolk counties exist.

I didn't say Fran has been on other podcasts, I said she has/had other podcasts. She's had TheFriendZone, Color Full Lives with Angela Yee and yes, her paid-partnership recap podcast with HBO that was nominated for a Webby Award. She's had commercials with not only Express but Facebook and Ritz, as well as features in Ebony, Essence, Nylon, Glamour, Cosmo, Lucky, Home & Gardens, Refinery29, Vibe, Hypehair, Buzzfeed, The Huffington Post and has partnered with the Marriot, Levi's, Target, Bose, Blooomscape, and Clarks. You're crazy to think with a resume like that she's not making bank and that that doesn't translate to dollars lol. She's been in the influencer realm for over a decade. And this all just what I've gathered from a couple clicks.

And yeah, she stayed at the Hello Albemarle Apartments in BK. According to their site its "private elevators opening directly into each unit".

Idk, if you're listening to the same podcast as me because Fran was planning this move years and advance lol. She can definitely afford New York, she made it work most of her entire life. She always said she would get up and somewhere more outdoorsy and have a complete change of scenery. The whole point was to be away from NY completely, not just be in the suburban areas.

In NY your gross annual income has to equal 40 times your monthly rent in order to be considered for an apartment like 90% of the time. The check your credit reports and basically your entire financial history to see if you're consistently making money. I'm sure she's doing just fine.

Im also not a die hard fran fan either, I’ve critiqued her plenty of times throughout this thread but I do think she’s figured out a way to maximize her income with doing the least amount of work

Frans twitter mentions after ranting about her neighbor:

Okay, okay lemme stop. I could do this all day. Sorry I’m bored today y’all. I could literally make 10,000 more of these lmao.
