The last question Heughan read was from Balfe herself, who asked, 'Am I coming back to work next year, and can I have a bigger trailer?'

Heughan replied, 'I'm afraid, Caitriona, no you can't have a bigger trailer, however, you are coming back for Season 7, yes!'

Richard Rankin added, 'There will be a Season 7. Another season to potentially torture Roger.'

I'll casually watch. This show lost all appeal once it became evident rape is a constant plot device. Some twisted ish.

I tried to watch this show but couldn’t make it through season one. I was bored to death. Somebody must like it if it’s going on season 7!

This one you can truly blame the writer. That is ALL Diana Gabaldon. The Tv Producers decided to run with it for the show.

Until book 9 comes out. Season 5 was the last rape of the books/ show.

Edited to remove who was raped to not spoil unintentionally. Sorry for those who saw.

The books (main series) are great. I have read all 8 since the show started a couple of times.

I am glad that I didn't find out about them until way way later. I'd be pissed waiting 10 plus years for the next book. But Diana needs to hurry up with book 9 before this show takes a GOT direction.

Good thing until book 9 comes out. Claire's was the last rape of the books/ show.

Okay, so after Jamie gets raped and starts offering himself to men as payment...was that on DG as well? Because that was such a trash angle to take. Like Jamie didn't mind the rape in the end and it's now part of his sexuality. Smfh

For those of you who have watched all the seasons so far can you tell me which episodes have rape in them so I can just skip over them? I want to binge-watch this but I don't want to watch rape scenes.

He offered himself to John to ensure that his son (that he could not claim) would be taken care of in a loving environment and grow up right. And John is the only man he "offered" himself too, and only for that reason, because he knew John was in love with him.

John knew that, which is why he declined the offer.

Jaime very much minded the rape. It still haunts him at times in the later books/ seasons.

The thing about Jaime is that he will do ANYTHING to protect those he loves, Claire especially as well as his children. ANYTHING. It is shown in other ways also in later seasons.

And yes. the offer was written in the books.

I didn't want to spoil the details for fonts. Lol

Season 4 It's either episode 8 or 9. It involves Brianna and Bonnet

The season finale of 5. That was the toughest one to watch for me. Involves Claire, she was gang raped. But she wasn't gang raped in the book.

I tried watching episode 1 but I got confused. Can somebody break down what is going on in this show?

Married british WW2 nurse Claire goes to Scotland with her husband. Wanders alone, touches some ancient stone, get transported 200 years in the past. Meets a British dude who looks EXACTLY like her husband (very convenient), except he's a psycho sadist and he tries to rape her. She's saved by a scottish guy named Jaime, who takes her with him. She then has to learn how to survive in a country on the brink of war, where british people are hated by the scotts, where women are inferior to men and frequently raped/kidnapped/terrorized, where that crazy husband look-alike is after her & her savior Jaime, where people want to use her for her medical knowledge and yet think she's a witch when she tries to save people, and where her only ally is that scottish guy who's the only good thing in the whole show.

Her mission: stay alive and return to her own time and to her husband. Except she's slowly falling in love with Jaime because he's the only one who treats her with respect and destiny keeps throwing them together, so bye bye WW2 husband...

The show looked terrible at first, but it's actually not bad once you get used to it. There are a lot of boring moments + moments I absolutely hated but no one can say that it's not a tale of true love because the heroes would die for each other and you can actually feel it when you watch.

Season 1 to 3 were probably the best. Once they've introduced Brianna & Roger it's went downhill. I'm not really happy that the heros are aging and that terrible sh!t happened to both of them especially in season 4&5 but it's actually realistic so I shouldn't complain.

One of the best shows, I’ve ever watched. I binge watched all of the episodes in about a week during lockdown.

Same happened to me my first time watching. But the show legit started to pick up towards the end of that episode and became interesting. I'm glass I finished that episode cause I ended up binging all the other seasons on Netflix in the span of a few weeks.
