I was on FT with someone who has a 2 year old son. The grandma was in the background starting patty cake with him when the mom damn near went into cardiac arrest.

“Don’t do that with my son!!! That’s for girls! My son doesn’t do that!”

This is why I don’t want my kids spending extended periods of time around certain people.

Oh lord. The baby is two. That teaches good hand eye coordination. I don’t hang around folks like that either or allow my kids to be around theirs outside of school. Some people are weirdos.

Yeah that is weird. The hand games are fun and kids love them. I can see if she busted out into that one game "one day I was walking, walking to the fair and I met a senorita with a flower in her hair" but patty cake is harmless.

this is the sh^t that I hated. Its sh^t like this I have heard my whole life and a big reason why I am grown @ss adult and still am trying to figure out who I truly am. I really hate the mental shackles that were put on us. Always having to stop this and that for sh^t that makes no sense.

I’ve heard that too.

I get annoyed when I see parents overreact about their sons playing with dolls too. I’ve literally argued with a whole household because they screeched on this toddler who was probably younger than 3 for picking up his cousins Barbie and playing with it.

Idgaf if it’s not my child don’t do that ignorant mess in front of me and expect me not to say anything. At least 3 women ( including the mother) and a man trying to argue away their stupidity. They got big mad too. Oh well.

What’s so crazy is that boys interacting with dolls could be a teachable moment. That’s part of how girls learn to be nurturing. If there is one thing we truly need is more boys learning to be nurturing.

Exactly! My toddler has some plush dolls from his favorite shows and he enjoys feeding them, putting them to bed, kissing their booboos, etc. It’s so sweet.

I heard wearing pink makes a boy turn gay too. Same with a doll.

At 2, they arent aware of sexuality yet. Just let them play, my goodness.

This is why you have men out here who dont wash a dish, clean or wash their butt, being clean, nurturing and doing chores will make him gay too.

Adults project too much onto children especially when it comes to sexuality, toys and colors.

When does the BS end?
