I bought a ton of stuff when I moved last month and forgot to post them in here. I'll take some pics when I get home.

Come on, y'all...no pics of nothing?? Well, I have finished my great room. This is the latest and last addition, a side drum table from Target ($79.99):

IMG_0688.jpg

And, I'm hoping I don't wind up cutting all the leaves off this one like I did the one in the front. The corn plant in my bedroom ($9.99 @ The Home Depot)

IMG_0689.jpg

My next project is the guest bedroom. I need a nightstand, lamp, curtains and I'm seriously loving this "Zen" comforter set I've seen at Macy's *can't find an online pic :(*

I am currently loving accessories from ZGallerie.

Omg, I love that plant. Ive never seen one....

Now you have to transfer it to a cute pot

Its puts my little plant to shame. I just got a lucky bamboo plant from walgreens (been wantin one)...its little, but they can get pretty tall.

What kinda light does yours need??

Uh uh. They do not like to be transferred, so I have to buy a larger decorative pot to put it in. They like moderate to low light and require very little watering. I'm very surprised that they're only $10.

british plantation, nice.

I scored a huge capiz shell pendent at home goods yesterday. They usually range from 75-200 dollars. I already had one from world market that costs 70, and now Im kinda in love with capiz shells (this is my 3rd one). Anywho, I paid 15 dollars for it, I couldnt believe it. Its big and really pretty too, will post pic later....

I love World Market. I found so much stuff there that I had to force myself to look elsewhere.

I got sucked into buying one of those paper lanterns that are all the rage right now. I hung it from the ceiling, its cute. I wish it was bigger (I think its 14") but they only had one with the sky print.

Also just bought a uber cute french style cabinet to mount my flatscreen over, and hide ugly electronics and dvds inside. Wont come until next friday tho..

I just bought the smaller lantern for my foyer. It's from ZGallerie.

ETA* the smaller one is actually 30" and the larger one is 45". Even though the chair is in the pic for comparison, I still had to remind myself that it's actually quite tall.

45" is really fµck!ng tall for a lantern. Lanterns are all the rage right now, been seeing them in pier 1, etc. I bet it looks really nice with a big fµck!ng candle in it.... :good:

Yes, they are literally in every home decor place and catalog. I wanted one for my front porch, but may go for some planters instead. I'm gonna put a big pillar candle in it, too.

I had to buy mirrors for both my bathrooms after I bought my house. The builder did not want to include them LOL. So glad I did though. Got very nice ones from Lowe's.

Any suggestions on art/ artists that make large one of a kind pieces, not what you can find at TJ Maxx Home Store... something worth investing in...?

TIA!

I have that same comforter and the tables look like the ones I have in my room from Ikea. I was so in love with the Liberty of London collection too bad I couldnt fit the dresses

So I just bought a new apartment in NYC for myself and I'm not sure what to decorate it with.

I saw some of your ideas and I love them! But I also checked out this article at Women, Fashion, Diversity, Career, Entertainment: Urbane Perspective Media + Lifestyle about tips to help me n my decoration process.

i absolutely love that tiffany/audrey hepburn decor!!! I tend to like pink more, because I'm your average girly girl!

Anybody know of easy cheap ways to get cute adorable decor ideas around NYC?!:plaugh:

^^Apartment therapy, the nyc section.

Im in the market for these boudoir items: headboard, chair, comforter, and lamp!

I just bought the pretties candle holder from WM. Its blue/green mosaic lantern.

Pier 1 has these huge stoneware floor vases. I wanted a smaller version for my side table but they dont have small ones. Do you think it would work as a stand alone piece? Im so not into those fake branches or floral arrangements, and I dont want to trouble with a plant. Not right now anyway...
http://www.pier1.com/great-places-big-vases.shtml

They suggest that you can use them for anything tall and slender, or "go naked"...

I went and got the stoneware vase. It looks a bit incongruous with the black/white french cabinet under my tv but Im going to keep it anyway because its sooo pretty. Picture doesnt do it justice of course.
