Girl what is going on here? I know CW isn’t generous with the budgets but everything about this looks ashy.

This is why every animated show doesn't need to made into live action. SMH this looks terrible. I can only imagine what they'll have the villains looking like.

Y’all really surprised that they made Buttercup biracial? The whole thing looks cheap and thrifty, they should’ve kept them in high school if they were gonna dress them like kids still

Y’all remember how the CW attempted to do Wonder Woman a few years back?! View attachment 2456905
Yeah, they have a history of putting Women in Cheap party city outfits. But I’m trying to figure out why are they styled like little girls when they’re clearly teen aged or older. It’s creepy. They didn’t have any of the Archie(riverdale) characters dressed like their source materials except for Jughead and his hat.
And what makes this so evil is they had Lois Lane from Smallville cosplay as WW that looked way better than this sh!t. Wtf was this??

To everyone losing thier collective sh!t over the costumes: The "cheap" outfits are being used for a flashback/dream sequence.

If they want to make a Powerpuff Girls movie, it's needs to be ANIMATED and NOT live action lol This will be a mess.

Why does this look low budget? Nah I’m not a fan. The original cartoon was the best and no live action movie will top it.

So they felt for the live-action that they would make them grown but keep them in kids costumes. Then they have the biracial play the most aggressive character. Absolute cringe.

If they wanted them to be older then dress them appropriately. Assuming they won't be dressed like that the whole movie they could play with the girl's aesthetics
Then for the final fight sequence, they could dress them in costumes that closely resemble the original dresses but tweaked and updated. They didn't even try with the makeup and hair.

They could have done like the power rangers and gave them an everyday Monochromatic wardrobe with elements of their signature colors.... and gave them official costumes for when they fight... but Noooooo....

Right like they had the perfect opportunity to play with styles and have fun with it. This and the Winx club live-action are devastating misses when it comes to wardrobe. I'm just waiting on them to ruin totally Spies too.

Now that we know this most-likely trash reboot with pictured wardrobe that make Spirit costumes look like Balenciaga is happening regardless and will likely fµck up the rest of the wardrobe like the live-action Winx, what should the girls’ style be (assuming costume design is putting in any effort)?

I’ll go because I’ve been thinking about this:
Blossom: preppy, light academia (all the turtlenecks, sweaters, blazers, trenchcoats, plaid and argyle you can imagine) [think Spencer Hastings with a hint of Blair Waldorf]

Bubbles: Bohemian/cottagecore with a splash of art hoe (basically a flower child; as soft, floral, and girly as you can get)

Buttercup: grunge/e-girl meets cyberpunk/vaporwave with a splash of sporty/tomboy (finally form is essentially punk Matrix)

Should we make a gofundme for the budget? Those cloths are so cheap

These outfits look way better, and I love the outfits for Buttercup. I, persoanlly, resonate more with those type of outfits.

Whoever was in charge of the clothing on Euphoria need to help the staff for this show cos Lord...

The sad part is the show is directed by a woman. Maggie Kelly to be exact.

Why is the "aggressive" one a person of colour? ugh. I can't. What in the low budget hell? Their clothes look like they were stitched 10 minutes before they yelled "action"

Also why is she the heaviest? The 'blonde' one is very obviously the thinnest -- and looks the best in her outfit, this is the subtle stuff people pretend they don't see though.

Those outfits look sad and cheap and they look goofy as fµck. Like grown women stuck in their childhood.
