Prince Charles, 72, has launched Her Majesty's new green initiative celebrating her Platinum Jubilee - The Queen's Green Canopy - by planting the first tree in the grounds of Windsor Castle

An oak was planted by The Prince of Wales to launch a unique, UK-wide tree planting initiative created to mark Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee next year, of which His Royal Highness is Patron

The initiative invites green-fingered Britons to plant 'healthy native trees' next year from October to March and pin your tree on a special QGC map

Now you know Charles didn't plant that tree...stop it! He was looking too cute for all that.

He probably grabbed that shovel with that little bit of dirt from someone else out of frame. LOL!

Is Liz the warden at Camp Windsor, where everyone is made to dig holes for character development?

Can’t tell if this was sarcasm lol

Didn’t know it was a thing to wear it on the pinky til today.
Lmao I’d never heard of it either but some people claim he does lol I’ve only ever seen the signet ring. I think people were claiming that because Harry is supposedly the only one who wears a band and by own recollections that’s what I’ve seen to be the truth.

The queen is so funny to me. Her mannerisms just give me life. You can tell she gives negative 100,000 fucks about anything. LOL.

Does he not normally wear his wedding band?

View attachment 2559039
That signet ring IS his wedding ring from what I've read. He started wearing it when he and Camilla got married.

Harry is the only one who wears a wedding band on the traditional ring finger, but Charles and someone else (I don't remember if it were Edward, the yuck perv, or someone else) wears a signet ring on their pinky. From what I've gathered wedding rings weren't typical for royal men (think Phillip and William).

Charles has worn a wedding ring, a small gold band below the signet ring, since his wedding to Camilla (I never checked during his marriage to Diana). The ring is not very prominent with his swollen fingers.

It has been said (around the time of the marriage to Camilla) that other aristos wear their wedding rings in this manner.

This is smallest I've seen his hands look. His hands look like prosthetics. It's scary to me.

Anyway, neither he nor William wear wedding bands. Most royal/aristocratic men do not. Harry is one of the few who does. Harry is different.
Flip a bunch of aristocratic men then! IF they love you and consider marriage a Holy Union they will wear the blinking ring. Ugh.

I think that these "new pictures" were taken on the same day as the Easter photo shoot.

Every time I see the Queen, I can't help but think that she's a little badass old lady, I don't know why. Riding a horse or driving her Range Rover while wearing a hoodie, haha. Just looks like a badass.

Anyway, that ring talk got me curious, and I do remember that Harry deciding to wear a ring was a big deal. Here's what I found, if anyone else is interested:
"There’s a long-standing tradition for the wedding bands of Royal Family members to be made from Welsh gold by jewellers Clogau, from the Clogau St. David’s gold mine in Dolgellau. The gold is a rarity now as the mine has since been shut down, however the Queen was gifted a kilogram of it from the Gwynfynydd mine in 1986 for her 60th birthday.

(...) A palace aide explained ahead of Prince William’s 2011 wedding, “It was something the couple discussed but Prince William isn't one for jewellery - he doesn't even wear a signet ring - and decided he didn't want to.”

There’s another reason why you might not immediately spot the wedding rings on the hands of Prince Charles and the Earl of Wessex. Rather than wearing their bands on the fourth finger of their left hand, they instead choose to wear it alongside their signet rings on their left little finger.

According to Gentleman's Gazette, the tradition of wearing a wedding ring alongside a signet ring is one that dates back to Victorian times.

Prince Charles also wears a Welsh gold wedding band, with Clogau revealing that they created matching gold wedding bands for him and Princess Diana in 1981. He wore his alongside his signet ring throughout their marriage. Following their divorce and his eventual marriage to Camilla Parker-Bowles in 2005, he has continued to wear a wedding band.

Prince Harry and Mike Tindall, the husband of Princess Anne’s daughter Zara Tindall, are the only other men in the Royal Family to wear wedding bands on the third finger of their left hand. Peter Phillips (...) also wore a ring in this way.

However, both Prince Harry and Tindall did put their own twist on royal tradition by choosing not to wear Welsh gold rings. It was announced ahead of Prince Harry’s wedding that he would be wearing a “Platinum Band with a textured finish”, which was crafted by royal jewellers Cleave and Company. (Cleave and Company also created Meghan Markle’s Welsh gold wedding band, which was “gifted by Her Majesty The Queen.”)"

I can't remember what Charles really looks like right now, and in the pictures posted he's wearing a coat. But, I don't remember him being overweight or anything. I know that some joint diseases might affect hands & as a result at times they might be swollen, wonder, if that's the case here. Or, he just has unfortunate hands lol.
