You can wear sneakers 99% of the time, every day of the week, but you somehow have not made it click in your brain that prom is the best time to show up with a pair on nice dress shoes to wear to the event?

I don't know who the other lady is, but seeing Savannah and Holly Robinson Peete in the same pic is so random to me. Didn't know they knew each other.

I wonder why the male children of black celebrities usually end up with white/ non black gfs while the girl children still manage to find a black boy to date.

Because the boys are programmed to go after non blk girls and the non blk girls are programmed to chase the potential bag.

“Black men, it seems, escape parallel accusations of “sleeping with the enemy.” Because black men are disadvantaged by racism and white women by sexism, their union can signify the joining of two disempowered people, committed to resisting the related evils of racism and sexism. No such narrative can frame the relationship of a black woman and a white man. In loving a white, a black woman, supposedly, is not fighting the power so much as joining it, betraying not only herself but her group.”

- Ralph Richard Banks, “Is Marriage for White People?”

This, of course, applies to black girls of all classes but holds even more weight for upper black girls, who grow up in and go to predominantly white neighborhoods and schools and as there is often stigmas on about whether affluent black people are “black enough.”

Just look at the vast different in reactions between Malia and Sasha Obama choice of partners.

All I will say is I remember when Roman was a little something on their reality show. And I love the Peete family.
