Had all of the seasons on DVD. When my momma found out I was sneaking out the house to go to a local late night read in LA, she just knew she fµcked up by buying me the DVDs lol.

Love this and still listen whenever my soul needs food.

It's crazy how diverse black entertainment was just 20 years ago. Really hope we have a 3rd Renaissance soon

There was one that still speaks to me after all of these years. It was a Jamaican girl and she talked about xesual abuse in a very raw view. It was powerful and I felt the pain of the little girl(not sure if it was her or inspired by someone else) in the poem. She talked about being ridiculed by her peers and that “Uncle John” wouldn’t stop touching her. I remember one line of it was her quote “this for brown when love is not enough” if I can recall. It was amazing.
