Stacey Ann Chin. There was one that still speaks to me after all of these years. It was a Jamaican girl and she talked about xesual abuse in a very raw view. It was powerful and I felt the pain of the little girl(not sure if it was her or inspired by someone else) in the poem. She talked about being ridiculed by her peers and that “Uncle John” wouldn’t stop touching her. I remember one line of it was her quote “this for brown when love is not enough” if I can recall. It was amazing.
