I've had a pair of Merrell's AllOut Fuse Trail Running shoes for several years. These have been the best shoes for me because I like taking long walks (and used to do a significant amount of walking as part of my work commute). They are incredibly comfortable and no matter how much I walk, my feet do not hurt afterwards. I intended to replace them with another pair of running shoes from Merrell but a lot of their recent reviews (across many of their products) seem to signal a decline in their production quality. Any brand recommendations on shoes that are good for walking? Here's how my old shoes look:

Mine are really worn down. I wonder if re-soling is possible. Also, they are technically a half size too small. I got them the day I was flying out for a 3 month trip but they worked so I kept them. But I was hoping to get an appropriate size this time.

What do you mean by "nwt"?

I agree with the above poster. I have had both Merrell's and KEEN's and I'm now on my 6th pair or so of KEEN's. They're simply the most comfortable, and for me, I need stability to walk on wet rocks because I live near beaches. There's no break in period. They do tend to run a bit wide but I like that because I hate feeling my shoes rubbing on my feet.

They were old but New with tags or new in box... Keep your eye on poshmark and eBay.
