UPDATE : Thanks to @Naya Rivera

A little update

The glorious and infamous pigeon wielding @MariaLuv posted this thread earlier...

School shooting survivor says he quit @CNN Town Hall after refusing scripted question.”

And my reply to it was...

Ugh, this is going to end badly. I mean Fox News?

So the kid went on Fox News with his proof, an email.

And CNN replied with the original email.

Yeah CNN has the metadata to prove that it's the original and it clearly shows CNN was willing to allow him to ask his own question but then his father pulled him out of it. And the email he gave to Fox shows they deleted the words "that he submitted"

I'm sad but not surprised.

"It is unfortunate that an effort to discredit CNN and the town hall with doctored emails has taken any attention away from the purpose of the event," a CNN spokesman said

Crooks. The Father is teaching his son how to be dishonest from an early age. Let it not bite him in the ass like these things tend to do.

All these people do is lie. Now his kid will be a social pariah at school. He’ll blame the others for bullying and ostracizing him though and make up more lies to feed his narrative no doubt.

Funny how these people think they’re so great, but only get attention or “win” when they lie and cheat.

That kid scares me. How do you survive a tragedy like that and have this be your response? He's a sociopath as far as I'm concerned.

Money talks and family pressure can be hard to ignore at that age. he couldn't stop looking away and throwing in "umm" over and over, it was clear he was lying and CNN should sue.

SN: He's not a sociopath just because he did something cruel and dishonest. ya'll gotta stop throwing that word around all time, it makes people desensitized to the meaning and not take the behavior serious.

This should be the last thing on his mind, however, that screenshot of his Facebook page paired with the fact that he ran to Faux News tells me everything I need to know.

What he did shows an extreme lack of conscience, which is indicative of sociopathy. I have bipolar disorder. Mental illness matters to me. I said what I said.

I believe he is a sociopath. 17 people were just shot dead around him, and lacking a conscience, he decided to use that opportunity to get his 15 minutes of fame by fabricating a story. Again, 17 people! Dead! I'm sure at least some of them he knew and interacted with.

Yes, money does talk and family pressure can be hard to ignore. That he did it at all could be explained by those things. However, it's the lack of conflicting emotions displayed that lead me to believe he's a sociopath. Just like I believe that Brock Turner and Ethan Couch are sociopaths. It's not the actions they took, it's their reaction to them (no display of conscience) and their reaction to public scrutiny about them.

Disclaimer: I am not a mental health professional. I can, however, read a dictionary and DSM criteria. I can also observe human behavior and compare it to societal norms.

The fact that I wrote that I consider him to be dangerous speaks to the seriousness with which I take sociopathy. Keep in mind, though, that most sociopaths are not violent. I'm not worried about that much. I'm worried about the emotional and psychological damage that he can and will inflict on others over his lifetime if he is a sociopath, shoot, even if he's not. Be afraid, be very afraid.

I saw that! People also mentioned metadata and how the edited email had one space between sentences instead of two.

he wasn't even comfortable giving that interview with that constant wandering eye contact and "umm" over and over, that is not a sign of a lack of conscience. it's clear this probably wasn't something he chose to do on his own and even if it were it wouldn't be enough evidence to diagnose him as sociopath. You already said you aren't a mental health professional so please leave the diagnosing and assumptions to the licensed professionals and people with experience.

As long as I disclaimed what my qualifications or lack thereof are, I'm entitled to my opinion. You don't need to agree with it. If you don't think he's a sociopath, great. You're entitled to your opinion. There's a difference between an opinion and a qualified mental health diagnosis. I gave an opinion and a disclaimer. Deal with it.

Argumentation doesn't require factual evidence. Argumentation can include presumptions. I'm arguing a claim, not facts. Hence, the disclosure.

As i said in the other thread start holding liars accountable.

While I agree with you completely, I don't think there is much CNN will be able to do. If they push this any further, people (mainly FauxNews loyalists) will shift the narrative to CNN bullying a mass-shooting survivor, when all CNN is doing is verifying facts and trying to clear its name. Unfortunately, I feel like CNN is going to have to back off. Let's be real, we know the truth (that the kid lied or was encouraged to lie), but there's no use trying to get the others (FauxNews loyalists, Trump supporters) to see reason: once they believe a lie, they won't face the truth, even with receipts and metadata shoved in their faces. It's unfortunate, but our new reality.

Anyone in the comments sticking up for him and making excuses should have him be a class mate of someone close to them, then I bet you wouldn't be so sure that he's innocent and coached. People with personality disorders know how to play stuff up like they are confused or silly so that they can avoid blame. He's old enough to know what he was doing.

Funny thing. People who backed him on social media were the same ones sharing links to how the other teenagers were actors.
What will they try to do next to move the conversation away from guns.

This whole thing is just...disgusting. People prey on tragedies like this. Everything that has happened after this shooting is a proof of the times here in America. People will do anything for the sake of more division.

He legit seems like an actor. I watched his video and the gunman was gone when he claimed to hear the first shot. It's just like Gladio
