I always found it strange when people used a lighter color for their foundation (okay, as long as you can blend it out and make it work with a contour) and THEN go in with an even LIGHTER concealer, basically using their real skintone as a contour. The delusion.

Some black women will complain about makeup companies not catering to us, but they'll still chose colors way lighter/not their correct match when they do.

It's a shame.

Please, you have to post a pic of her in full makeup. She’s delusional.

So much mental illness in the beauty community

The makeup for black women and the real makeup for black women groups on Facebook are full of people that can’t match their foundation and then they get mad at you when you tell them!

why are y'all coming to her for make up advice? or does she do something else and started doing her makeup on live?

giphy.gif

That’s what they do in the makeup groups. They post their makeup looks and go live doing looks. I just saw the mess while scrolling and couldn’t believe my eyes.

This reminds me of that girl Ruth "Brownie from Brooklyn" with her youtube tutorials. I think there's a difference in wearing a foundation that may be too orange or too red or slightly off in match but this is another level.

"But this foundation is gonna oxidize" :disdain "Going lighter will give me that glow tho"...:disdain She's delusional.

She looks straight up like a Banana in Pajamas...too damn yellow.

Curious, what foundation did she use?

Not Bananas in Pajamas! You took it back!

I feel bad for the girl. Your hands and your face should at least be in the same neighborhood. Hers aren't even in neighboring zip codes. But the negative self-talk that's convinced her that THAT is better than her actual tone...there's a lot of hurt there.

IKR? I feel bad too even as I clown cause when I didn't know better once I was ending up with too yellow foundations too. But for her there's gotta be some negative talk going on inside her head, she's convinced that that's her shade and no baby no. She should be enhancing her skin tone and embracing that undertone, not trying to completely change it.

It’s amazing how many people can’t do makeup at all and don’t even realize it. The constant heavy application and wrong foundation shades is gross.

A lot of black women on Youtube do this. It's tacky and it shows how self hating many are.

Most of these women claim yellow undertones and are not yellow toned

I've said this before but was told I hate black women.

Nope there are a lot of black women purposely using light foundation shades and pretending to be lighter than they are. It looks absolutely ridiculous and self hating to me.

That lady clearly matched herself incorrect on purpose for views.

Just like this lady right here knows damn well she lied on the beauty quiz she took. I tried this foundation and 155 is a tan shade. She knows she's not tan she's deep

I came in here thinking y’all was talking about Jackie aina :disdain
We can kind of blame her for making this "golden goddess" craze as bad as it is currently. She had/has tens of thousands of dark skinned black women firmly believing that they're yellow/golden when they're anything but and letting them think going 20 shades lighter with concealer is an acceptable highlight.

Jackie needs to embrace being neutral.

It's a shame.

I'm actually guilty of buying foundation shades that are darker than the rest of my body because I'm delusional and think I'm darker than I really am. Smh...
