I actually think that it's not about revenge. I think he thought with Il-Nam (001) dying that the game would also die but it's still going. So he knew that hundreds more people would die if he didn't try to stop it.this knigga wants revenge and to stop the games.
This sh!t is insane. All them people them dead for what!
he kept his word and gave half to seong’s mother. Why didn't he go to see his daughter?
Where is he going now and who is running the games now when the old man is dead?
How will he try to end the games, because i think that si what he wants, but he gave away all the money? And wont he need that money in the US?
Finished it last night and I agree with the drawn out scenes. I found myself hitting the skip button several times during dialogue and still didn’t miss much. The main character was low key the worst character. I wish he would have done something meaningful afterwards instead of moping around looking like the Caveman’s Valentine. Anywho, I really liked this series I was up until 3 am finishing it. Definitely deserves #1 spot on Netflix right now.I'm on the last episode.
It's a decent show, the production quality is pretty amazing and it keeps you hooked to the end.
I did find the main character and most of the supporting characters extremely irritating, and I didn't like how drawn out some of the scenes were, like get to the point lol. Just overly dramatic for nothing.
aintthatsomeshit.............Yes he was the one paying and arranging the whole game.
i didn’t quite understand his reasoning fully.Yes he was the one paying and arranging the whole game.
and then you meet some of the other characters and he seems like a saint hahaThe main character is the worst. Terrible son, terrible father, terrible friend and just a terrible person all around.
I should not have read this I am just too curious but I will say I don't think I would've split the money with peoples families because not everyone in that game probably came from a good family!Y'all I binged watched this show in less than a day and man....
I used to teach in Korea for three years and I was very familiar with all the kid games and thought it was such an interesting twist for Kdrama to have that aspect of it for such a blood thirsty game. But there was a lot lost in translation sadly with the English translation/subtitles. There were many hidden gems like the red light, green light song and the character changing their hair color.
Korea is very much a confucian culture, they use the Korean word "we" a lot. Shoot I remember kids cheating on their tests and passing the answers around cause that's how they be, all for one and one for all.
But when it comes to money, wealth disparity, and classism it's a very different story. The concept of "we" and the community aspect or "jeong" doesn't so apply when it comes to money especially when you're poor. I was not suprise at the lack of loyalty and morality when it came to money and surviving cause that's some real human nature right there.
There were some twisted turns I didn't expect and I was a bit bummed by the ending.
I lowkey knew Gihun was gonna win because of pure luck and morality.I wished he had tried to spilt the money with the people that had lost their lives families. I'm glad he kept his word about taking care of his friend's mom and he brought 067 brother to her so he would have a home and shot at life. But I wish he could have taken the money and used it to atone for everything but nah this knigga wants revenge and to stop the games.
Haha I agree, there were some parts that were a bit dramatic, like someone being betrayed or dying and I was like.... ok I have to go to bed soon hurry up and die alreadyI'm on the last episode.
