SERIES PREMIERE

After years of facing megalomaniacal supervillains, monsters wreaking havoc on Metropolis, and alien invaders intent on wiping out the human race, the world’s most famous superhero, The Man of Steel aka Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin, “Teen Wolf”) and comic books’ most famous journalist, Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch, “Grimm”), come face to face with one of their greatest challenges ever – dealing with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society. Complicating the already daunting job of raising two boys, Clark and Lois must also concern themselves with whether or not their sons Jonathan (Jordan Elsass, “Little Fires Everywhere”) and Jordan (Alexander Garfin, “The Peanuts Movie”) could inherit their father’s Kryptonian superpowers as they grow older. Returning to Smallville to handle some Kent family business, Clark and Lois are reacquainted with Lana Lang (Emmanuelle Chriqui, “Entourage”), a local loan officer who also happens to be Clark’s first love, and her Fire Chief husband Kyle Cushing (Erik Valdez, “Graceland”).

The adults aren’t the only ones rediscovering old friendships in Smallville as the Kent sons are reacquainted with Lana and Kyle’s rebellious daughter, Sarah (Inde Navarrette, “Wander Darkly”). Of course, there’s never a dull moment in the life of a superhero, especially with Lois’ father, General Samuel Lane (Dylan Walsh, “Nip/Tuck”) looking for Superman to vanquish a villain or save the day at a moment’s notice. Meanwhile, Superman and Lois’ return to idyllic Smallville is set to be upended when both a mysterious stranger (Wolé Parks, “All American”) and impassioned self-made mogul Morgan Edge (Adam Rayner, “Tyrant”) enter their lives.

“Superman & Lois” stars Tyler Hoechlin as The Man of Steel aka Clark Kent, Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane, Jordan Elsass as Jonathan, Alexander Garfin as Jordan, Emmanuelle Chriqui as Lana Lang, Kyle Cushing as Erik Valdez, Dylan Walsh as General Samuel Lane, Inde Navarrette as Sarah.

Story by Greg Berlanti & Todd Helbing, teleplay by Todd Helbing and directed by Lee Toland Krieger (#101).

This show is racist.

Is it about that black woman who was a screenwriter and they just immediately dropped her for no reason at all, I think that’s the story I’m not sure if I’m 100% right.

Is anyone even excited for this dumb show?

Does anyone watch any of these CW superhero shows anymore? The only ones I ever really bothered with for a while were 'The Flash', 'Black Lightening', and sometimes 'Arrow'. I feel like the CW as usual finds some shows that work/get them viewers and then just go crazy with a billion spin-offs.

I have to watch it online tomorrow (no TV; haven't had one in years).

I like Tyler Hoechlin as Superman in his Supergirl guest appearances. I'm not so sure of this. I know I DIDN'T like the actress they cast as Lois. Once again they get Lois wrong. Guess I'll let you know what I think tomorrow...

Did this racist rat fix her fingers to type anything positive about Black Lightning when it first premiered? How about Batwoman???? I am 100% done watching and supporting shows with lily white casting and a black or other poc as extras in the background or used as tokens to advance white character development. I will pass on this show and will not be supporting The CW once Batwoman is cancelled.

As far as pilots go (compared to the other Arrowverse shows) it's a major step up. And i can see the chemistry between Tyler and Bitsie better now than i did during Crisis.

But the effects are on the cheesy side and i still think they went overboard on padding when it comes to his suit. I'm also confused as to why Luthor's dialogue was so awkward.

It's going to be interesting seeing how they interact with the other superheroes now because the tone is just so different.

They always got these white heroes saving black people in the first scene.

Never change Hollywood.

It was ok, I’m not feeling this Lois though. She’s no Teri Hatcher (I loved Lois & Clark as a kid) but at least she’s not a redhead like the one in the latest movies

They took some inspiration from the mos suit which was a mistake because that suit was specially made for Henry's body and even that suit went overboard with the padding as years went on. They should have made a suit more flattering to Tyler. not sure what interview this was but I found this on DC Cinematic reddit.

Lois is...

TO ME...still.
Yeah, I watched the introduction to the series and it really makes me want to jump in. It's a very different perspective and I was excited even though I didn't like Lois at face value. Lana is prettier and she has more chemistry with Clark.

After watching it, I have determined that Lois is going to annoy me.

Did they really hide the spaceship in the barn with just a little lock on it???

The tradition of CW heroes having poor security continues.
