I saw this tweet

I looked up the doc online and Solange says regarding Beyoncé being bullied: “A lot of times especially with black girls if you’re lighter skinned and you have longer hair you get a lot of slack for it” 6:11 is the exact time she said it in the doc

Well her skin tone , heritage ,& hair is still a major trigger point 24 years in.

In fact according to some fonts , bey is the cause of racism, colourism and xesual molestation etc

Numerous threads to pull up if y’all wanna act brand new.

Some people do have this experience. I actually know a girl (not light skin) who had very long natural hair. A jealous girl in our class cut a chunk from behind. This is when we were children.

This does happen regardless of it if it makes some of you uncomfortable to admit it.

I just think Beyonce has a personality that some people like and some people don’t. Maybe she was a quirky child, maybe she was a tad bit antisocial or didn’t socialize well with others. Maybe she enjoyed playing a certain way and some of the kids around her didn’t want to play along.

I get antisocial vibes from her and extremely sheltered.

Why do some of y'all act like light skinned people can't get picked on for their skin just because it happens more to those with darker skin...?

There have been tons of threads made of fonts being pressed about her skin color and hair length dating up to 2020 so lets not act like this is somehow impossible.

Are we going to act like it wasn't possible? There could have been other reasons, but people acting like it was an impossibility is being intentionally obtuse.

Considering that Beyonce is pretty and talented it is very believable that she was bullied by jealous children.

With that being said, I don’t believe she had NO friends and ALWAYS had to be alone. Was every other girl in her class ugly? Maybe your daughter was very shy and didn’t know how to make friends?

I was definitely bullied (borderline terrorized as a child by dirty ass kids), but even I had friends.

And why would Tina go up to a little girl and ask, “Why don’t you like Beyoncé?” Lol what? If she is not bullying or harming your daughter leave the little girl alone.

A lot of musicians have the whole “I was bullied, alone, and misunderstood as a child”.

I have seen grown adults harrass and try to diminish the blackness of light skinned people on this bored so this is not far fetched especially for a children.

There was a puerto rican girl at my high school who got bullied for the same reason and she ended up dropping out and getting her GED in less than a year of enrolling smh. When I asked one of the girls why they wanted to fight her they couldn't even give me a real reason. They were hating cause the dudes were on her heavy. She was beautiful. Long wavy hair, light colored eyes and stayed to herself. Very quiet.

Beyonce parents made her weird. What adult walks up to a child asking them why they don't like their child? Then controlling, neurotic ass Mathew probably built her up just to break her down. He seems abusive and smug. She got it honest.

I don’t think this is weird. I worked at a daycare before and when you notice children purposely excluding another child you should try to mend whatever the problem is so they can all be having fun.

Girl, thank you. I would only ask a child that in front of adults (their parent and teacher) if they are bullying my child.

I understand, that she may have been sad for her daughter so she asked the child.

And let's not forget her mean girl behavior captured in her teen years. I mean Beyonce was groomed to think her sh!t don't stink. Her parents set her up sheltering her thinking the world is supposed to bow down to her. Kids can be cruel true so I'm not saying she deserved it but I get that vibe from Beyonce. She needs to be number 1.

This one font said she wasn’t black. I had to log off for the night. Watch people be obtuse in this thread

I think the issue is how we relate long hair with light skin as if dark skin girls can't grow long hair.

Often times, girls aren't targeted for their skintone but how they present themselves and how pretty they are, regardless of skintone.

There's a sh!t ton of dark and brown skin women out here who have experienced the same thing Beyonce has.

It diminishes other people's trauma and suffering when we put it solely on skin tone.

I had to intervene a group of girls trying to jump my ex [dark skin] in high school and I remember during a group conference between all involved, no one could come up with a reason why they wanted to jump her except one girl said "Because she think she better than everybody".

The principal came out and straight up said ya'll jealous of her and it was very evident.

They probably thought she was stuck up too. Boys all over her AND she was quiet? A recipe for disaster. I think that happens with quiet people alot, others tend to think our quietness and lack of socializing is us thinking we're better, but that's not it at all. For some of us it's just harder to speak around people we don't know.

I’ve experienced this, I’ve had girls come up to me and tell me straight up they don’t like me and wanna fight cause “you think you’re cute”

Even the principal pulled me aside and was like the other girls don’t like you you need to tone it down just cause I was quiet and kept to myself but I knew how to dress. Insecurity makes people do crazy things

we all know it's true....the mindset still exists on this very forum

let's not act like Beyonce's light skin, creole heritage, long hair, etc aren't trigger topics for much of this forum

don't play dumb like there aren't a hundred 20+ pg threads on these topics just on Beyonce alone
