Do you break up fights or wait for the men/security to break it up?
Cause let me tell you if I was a teacher I would've just waited till security came I don't get paid enough to be taking hits from some child.

I teach little ones lol, but our school goes up to 8th grade, no, I'm not breaking up a fight, we can be terminated if we end up hurting a student. Just call security/principal and keep the others safe. However, good classroom management is the key. In that first video that boy was up for too long... nope he wouldn't even have that chance in my class....

the two years I taught third grade I would break up the fights. They didn't happen often, but I'd do it because help took so long (or wouldn't come at all). But I switched what I taught and I didn't deal with that anymore.

I've broken up fights by accident ( Let that sink in) because really I don't like to get involved in fights with teenagers. It is dangerous. I've seen kids lose a fight, then try to hit the teacher that basically kept them from getting harmed. They like to show out that way.

I had one near fight in my room. A girl lunged at another girl. I caught the girl as she lunged and escorted the child out of the room. I just could not let those girls tear my room up like that. So I had to stop it. I really don't like doing stuff like that because it puts me in danger. I don't touch the boys. They're too strong and taller than me. I am tall. I think two boys were about to fight. I grabbed both by the arms and separated them. Before anyone passed a lick. Then I called for the Coach to come to help me because they were stronger than me. He would NOT come. He pretended not to hear me. The History teacher who is a man came running out. Then told me I slung one of the boys into the wall. That AGAIN was an accident. But really I think those boys just stopped out of a respect for an adult. If they really started swinging they'd probably knock me on the floor.

Then I broke up another fight with two boys. They were really good kids. But my whole class was in the hall in one big circle, cheering them on. So I yelled at them and to get from behind me. I did that so no one would hit me in the head while my back was turned. They moved, which shows you they were a decent group of kids. I grabbed one kid and gently escorted him down the hall. Again, another accident.

Really when those kids fight I move out the way. Watch out for that circle. It is terrible. You can't see. On my first day of school they had a fight. I wound up in the middle of a circle the kids had formed. I couldn't see anything.

Just call for someone. My school is pretty bad and the administration is not very helpful. So it is just best to let things handle themselves.

Yes, they're always slow to come. Once a very high kid started walking around my room and kept trying to hug me. Mind you he was a teenager. I called for the SRO and told her he was very high. She agreed. The teacher next to me said it took them 14 minutes to come up to my room. I literally pushed that child out of my room. Man, God really looks after me. That could have gone very sour, because he didn't want to leave the room.
