I haven't watched it yet but from the trailer, I think the focus is less about the legal consequences they potentially face for their crime and more about giving voices to the victims who have definitely been scammed by them. More people are likely to tune into 30 minutes of watching something than reading something that takes 5 minutes so the more exposure this gets and the more opportunities the victims get to tell their story, the more pressure there will be to make an example out of them.I watched but I don’t think I needed too. Wasn’t hard hitting. Nothing gained that reading a paragraph in print wouldn’t of accomplished. That being said he’s a pos and so is she if she knew that’s how he was financing their living. Hard to give her the benefit of the doubt.
It gave a voice to the victims, called out the CA Bar Association, and made clear what you can get away with if you have the right legal connections. A lawyer should have never had that level of power in CA.I watched but I don’t think I needed too. Wasn’t hard hitting. Nothing gained that reading a paragraph in print wouldn’t of accomplished.
