The human voice is quite the strong resilient instrument. Even with crack abuse some singers are able to sing their most difficult material live for decades. (Chaka Khan, Natalie Cole, etc) . The human voice impresses but also perplexes me. Some singers who abused the booger sugar say they didn't start using it heavily until a certain year, however their upper chest voice was shot prior to the year they indicate as the start of this heavy use. Non existing outside of the studio after 6 years
