Mods, can you make this a sticky?

Let's make a list of black woman bashers to boycott. These can be celebrities, non-celebs, YouTube personalities or companies that have denigrated black women through Tweets, Facebook posts, blog posts, YouTube videos, radio shows, magazine interviews, commercials and articles. Post descriptions and/or receipts if you can.

ETA: I'm including colorism remarks as well because they are downgrading or objectifying black women based on skin color which is wrong, IMO.

I'll start:

Wesley Snipes - for insinuating that black women give their mates problems and that his Asian wife is more supporting (because she's Asian?): http://www.postbourgie.com/2008/01/22/irrefutable-black-truth-2-wesley-snipes-hates-black-women/ (this link posts the actual excerpt from the original interview)

Slim Thug: for this http://www.vibe.com/posts/slim-thug-black-women-need-stand-their-man-more

Taye Diggs: for supporting Slim Thugs' comments and for: http://abww.wordpress.com/2010/07/03/abww-hater-of-the-day-taye-diggs/,
and http://juiicyscoop.blogspot.ca/2006/12/taye-diggs-and-black-women.html

Ice T: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvtuhVK1Unc"]ICE-T'S PROBLEM WITH BLACK WOMEN@4missymistique - YouTube[/ame]

Jaheim - he expressed in the April 2006 Vibe Magazine Issue that he prefers Latino women to sistas because “They (Latina’s) don’t know who he is”. the implication is that “Latinas want him for him and not his money

Tyrese Gibson: http://www.yourblackworld.com/2011/...for-excluding-black-women-from-his-new-video/
http://www.askkissy.com/2011/11/14/...a-independent-your-way-into-loneliness-video/

Yung Berg: http://necolebitchie.com/2008/07/10/yung-berg-and-the-brown-paper-bag-test/

Lil Wayne: http://newsone.com/951115/fansboycott-lil-wayne-dark-skin-black-women/

Nicki Minaj - for her "nappy headed hoes" comment. Interesting commentary here: http://www.mypinkfriday.com/forum/main/372111

Toure - for his Twitter rant about black women and slavery. http://www.jackandjillpolitics.com/2010/03/white-masters-black-slave-women-and-toures-tweets/

Isaiah Mustafa for his good hair comment:
Isaiah Mustafa, The Old Spice Commercial Guy, Says He Wants A Woman And Kids With 'Good Hair' Because His Hair Is 'Nappy'

Brian White for this: http://hellobeautiful.com/2504449/does-brian-white-hate-black-women-or-is-he-spot-on-exclusive/

Dr Satoshi Kanazawa for his Psychology Today article deeming black women unattractive: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/...e-less-attractive-than-whites-and-asians.html

Don Imus for his "nappy headed hoes" comment: http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/17999196/ns/today-entertainment/t/msnbc-drops-simulcast-don-imus-show/

SargeWP - YouTube personality who bashed black women (I think his account is gone now)

Pepsi - for their Superbowl commercial portraying the black girlfriend as abusive, angry and jealous of the white woman: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9HCpX_xSCA&feature=fvst"]"Love Hurts" - YouTube[/ame]

Kevin Hart for posting the "Fix ya face" comment on his Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/hartkevin) and this picture: http://www.mobli.com/media/show/id/4647853
And for tweeting the following:
"Light skinned women usually have better credit than [sic] dark-skinned women... Broke @$$ dark hoes...lol."

Justin Wadlington for originally posting that cartoon crap.

Eminem for that legendary song of his

ETA: A Facebook page that focuses on a similar topic except addresses those who denigrate black women and black people http://www.facebook.com/pages/For-Black-Women-What-not-to-buy/199530346730965

Can we add companies who don't advertise to black women but black women are big consumers of their products?

Add Tyrese "only the light skin ladies please" Gibson.

Does this count? This is a whole different thing...not right or wrong what you posted...I just think that what OP means is men who stereotype ALL black women say things as a put down as if all black women are broken and need to be fixed...hurt up and have a problem and that's why black women are where they are type of comments instead of acknowledging that there is more to the story...

start another thread if we are going to get into the light dark skin mess...thought that this was about Black women and the hate...

I have to include colorism in this as well. With colorism, they are deeming the dark-skinned black women as not good enough while objectifying light-skinned black women (not for who they are but for what their complexion represents). Both are insulting, IMO.

All voting members say Aye if you'd like to add Kevin Hart to the boycott list.

And add Lance Gross as a possible maybe. I'll look into it further and get back to you.

It's interesting to see if this thread will mention people who disrespect women in general, a group that black women are a subset of. If so, what happens if your favorite rapper gets brought up ladies? Is it okay to call women b!tches as long as you don't say "*************"?

I'm not trying to start sh!t. I'm just curious.

colorism might not be a good idea to add because
1-it likely won't include bm with an only dark skin girls mentality. i'm sure 1 exists.

2-bw favor dark males and put down light males a lot.

Colorism aka intra-racism is about black women and hate.

What did Lance Gross say? I haven't been keeping up with him and wasn't aware of him saying or doing anything that bashes black women.

i'm not familiar with ice-t, jaheim or miguel's comments/actions. could someone fill me in? regarding the rest of the list, i already have a "meh..." attitude about them and their projects, partly because of their attitudes towards black women, but mostly because of their personalities in general, so they're already missing my coins.

also, what's a sticky?

Well, I said light because there was this whole drama with his videos about him onyl choosing latina women over "African-American women" and since Latina can mean a lot of things, I thought I'd be safe, but for all intents and purposes Tyrese seems to have a long of anger to towards black women in some of the things I've heard so he still applies.

Thank you.

I'm not trying to play devil's advocate. I'm just trying to see what the parameters of this boycott involved. I'm not the only one either (see the colorism issue that was brought up). I have no problem with black women boycotting entertainers who they feel disrespect them. In fact, I encourage it.

i think it's the white groupie story where (if i remember corrctly) the chick was saying he kept telling her and her friend how much he loved ww and preferred them to bw. but that's just a rumor, correct? until he comes out his mouth and actually says that sh!t publicly (a la yung berg, for example) i'd be hesitant not to support him.

Can we get some receipts for some of these men?

exactly. blacks in hollywood struggle enough as it is, so i need douchebaggery receipts before i make it any harder for them to shine than it already is.
