I never watched the Parkers when it was on in the early 2000s. I didn't like Monique and I just thought it would be her and her loud mouth.
Fast forward to this weekend, I started binge watching it on Netflix. I must say I really like it and the characters have great chemistry even on the 1st episode. The storylines keep my interest and that says a lot since I don't watch a lot of TV. I thought the humor was going to be slapstick and ghetto, but it's not like that at all. I like the witty humor.
It makes sense that I would like it because I really liked shows like Girlfriends and Half & Half.
Shows during the 90s and early 2000s (pre reality show) were very enjoyable and wholesome. I miss this era especially because they weren't political or constantly reminding us of the "black plight."
